Mingyu walked down the silent street, aimlessly kicking a pebble on the floor as he walked. His thoughts had been consumed by wonwoo all week.
Why am I feeling this way about him?
The same question repeated itself in the young boys head, over and over again. Yet it remained unanswered. Such a simple question yet the answer seemed so hard to figure out. Could it be love? But how could one fall in love after such a short time together? Maybe it was just the worry and guilt making Mingyu feel this way about wonwoo.
But I like him...I really like him...
Then the only answer it could be is love...did he really love wonwoo? Deep down Mingyu knew he loved the mysterious black haired boy, so why was he finding it so hard to admit it? Love wasnt a bad thing, yet he was treating it as if it was some soft of curse.
"Kim Mingyu, stop getting lost in stupid thoughts that don't matter right now" Mingyu scolded himself, his voice low and quiet so no one would hear him. Yet no one would, the streets seemed lifeless. Most likely since kids were in school and adults in work. "You need to find wonwoo" he reminded himself as he done a ninety degree turn, heading down an alleyway which would cut his trip short.
Another five minutes of silently walking passed before he reached the street wonwoo lived on. But something seemed off. It's was deadly silent, not even the sound of traffic or a bird chirping could be heard. The wind seemed still, not even the slightest rustle of dead leaves getting moved around the pavement. Everything just seemed dead, lifeless. It made Mingyu extremely on edge and even seemed to stir the pit of worry in the bottom of his stomach even more.
Without even realising, Mingyu began to briskly walk down the street. The brisk walk turning into a jog then suddenly he was sprinting. Something was wrong, really wrong. He wouldn't be able to explain how he knew if asked, it was just a feeling. A gut feeling that he knew was right, that type of feeling you get in the pit of your stomach. Fear, worry, paranoia, all mixed into one horrendously stomach turning feeling of dread.
"Wonwoo!" Mingyu shouted as he skidded to a halt at the pathway leading up to wonwoos seemingly dead house. He ran up the short pathway which lead right to the front door, his knuckles instantly coming into contact with the cold surface as he began to bang on the door. "Wonwoo! Wonwoo!" The boys name seemed to constantly spill from his mouth as he banged on the door.
He needed to know that he was alright, that nothing was wrong with him, that this feeling was just some fluke caused by the worry he was under. He needed wonwoo. But with each passing minute of silence, the only sound being mingyus panicked cries and the sound of hands desperately banging on the door, the unexplainable feeling seemed to grow and intensify. And finally Mingyu couldn't take it anymore, leaving the front door to sprint round the back. Yet he was met with the same deadly silence from the back of the house.
Finally he stopped, his knuckles red and bruised from all the banging on the door and his voice now seeming dry and painful. Mingyu stood there in the silence, looking at the lifeless house.
Could he have left? But without a singe word to any of us? No.
And that's when he heard it. Coming from inside the house was the sound of running water, it was faint but it was definitely there. A small spark of hope brightened mingyus sorrowful eyes as he began to search for any way into the house.
He's in there! He's not gone! He's alright!
Mingyu couldn't help but get excited over such a small sign to show that wonwoo was inside the house and alright. It was a step closer to his goal to find wonwoo. All he needed to do now was get into the house and actually retrieve wonwoo.
"Yas!" He whispered happily to himself once he seen the kitchen window cracked open slightly, if one wasn't specifically looking for a way in it would definitely go unnoticed it was such a small gap.
He eased the window open before hauling himself up to sit on the window ledge, turning his body round to easily slip into the kitchen with little to no effort at all. Mingyu then made his way to wear the sound of running water was coming from: the bathroom.

There's going to be two more chapters and then maybe a epilogue, then this story will come to an end~
I wrote this at 6:50 am and I'm yet to sleep, so even thought I've just went over to correct any grammar mistakes, I've mostly likely missed some in my tired state. So I apologise for any errors in my writing~!
