This crazy situation all started near the end of sophomore year. My strict and overprotective parents had finally allowed me to get a Twitter. I was in the middle of filling out my profile information when my mind started wandering. I started pondering over the past two years of my high school year career. The friends, the foes, and the feelings of all of this. During this trip down memory lane, I realized I hadn't talked to one of my guy friends in a long time. We hadn't had a class together since freshman year and had grown somewhat apart. I decided to text him to see how life was going.

"Hey Owen, haven't seen you in a while. How's life treating you?" Within seconds he replied, very unusual for a typical high school guy.

"Umm, ok I guess. What about you?"

"I'm great. Why only ok?"

"Usual teenage stuff, stress, overbearing parents, annoying siblings."

"I completely understand. My sisters won't leave me alone. I feel like I can never get any work done without them interrupting every 10 minutes"

"Try sharing a room with them, then get back to me"

"I'd rather not. School is my only escape"

"School isn't much better. Friends can be just as much of a pest."

"Idk, friends should make you feel better. Maybe you just need a stress free weekend to recharge without anyone to bother you."

"Yeah, maybe"

"Movie marathons always cheer me up."

"Movies are too sappy and remind me that reality is harsh and unforgiving. I'd rather just stick a pin in my eye."

"Ok..............? Why the sudden change in attitude?"

"I'm not the one with a changing attitude Grace, you need to chill. You're just like my parents."

Something was definitely wrong, Owen was such a happy and carefree guy. What had gotten into him since we last talked.

"Sorry, didn't mean to offend you. Are you 100% positive you are ok?"

"I told you already, I'm FINE. If you're just going to harass me, I'll just stop replying."

"Woah, just take a breath. We need to talk in person. I have a feeling we need to have a conversation"

"No"

"Please, we don't have a class together. I won't see you any other way."

"No"

"Come on, please"

"NO"

"You're impossible, look forget I said anything ok?"

I never got a reply to that. He must really be pissed off at me now. I waited until I had to go to bed, as it was a school night to send another text.

"Hey, please don't hate me for trying to be good friend. I was just worried about you is all. Will you please forgive me? :)"

I didn't wait to see if he replied to the second message because I was too tired to stay up any longer.
