Once I arrived home, I got a text from Owen.

"In case you didn't hear, stop texting me."

"I got it, loud and clear. Sorry for bothering you."

I sigh and put my phone away and got started on my homework. Haley was right he needs to chill and stop being so paranoid. Luckily, I finished my work in less than an hour. It was more time consuming than it was challenging.

Afterwords, I went to my sister's room. Emily is two years older than me. She was on the phone with her newest boyfriend. She literally has a new one every month. I hoped she would finally stop being so flirtatious with everyone once she left for college because otherwise she could easily get into something quite terrible.

Emily glared at me as I opened the door. She was doing the sappy no you hang up bit. I just rolled my eyes and walked right back out.

I went downstairs and decided to catch up on my shows since I hadn't watched them due to AP testing. I put on Elementary and snuggled up in a blanket. I'm always cold in the house even though it is close to 100 degrees outside in the Texas heat. I managed to watch three episode by the time it was dinner. We were having fettuccini alfredo. I couldn't help but think of the character Alfredo on Elementary. He was only on a few episodes, but I still thought he was a great influence on the main character Sherlock.

My mom interrupted my train of thought by asking about our day. My dad was the first to speak up.

"Same old, same old. I filed invoices and helped train the new guy." My dad is the head accountant at corporation up in Dallas.

"Well, Jake and I planed our date for this Friday. We are going to see a movie," Emily told our mom.

"Which one?," my mom quickly asks.

"I don't know, ask Jake. He planned it," she replied very defensively. That most likely means a movie she shouldn't see, but somehow will anyway. Emily can get away with almost anything.

"Well you don't have to tell me in that tone. What about you Grace?"

"Umm, nothing to report here. Just doing busywork at this point."

"More time to do chores then, right," my dad adds.

"I guess," I groan.

Dinner was soon over and I watched two more episodes of Elementary before getting ready for bed. Before falling asleep, I read a few chapters of the book I recently bought. It is Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes. It was a typical young adult novel. You could already tell who the female protagonist was going to fall in love with.

I soon couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and put my books on my nightstand. I set my alarm for the next day and quickly fell asleep. I didn't even realize I had gotten a text from a certain someone.
