My alarm goes off at 6 and I inwardly groan. Only 4 weeks left of school. I can do this. Yawning, I get out of bed and get ready. My mom gets up a little while later to drive me to school. I can't wait until I get my liscence so I can drive myself. During the drive I finally get the chance to check my phone to see of Owen had replied. Nothing. Oh well, nothing I could do about it.
Once I arrive I head to my first period class, AP World History with Ms. Browder. Luckily, my best friend Haley has that class with me. She is already there drinking her giant cup of coffee.
"You do know that drinking that much coffee daily isn't good for your health," I say to her as I sit down.
"Health, smealth. It is the only way to stay awake all day," she replies.
"Or you could go to bed earlier."
"Nah, I'll stick to coffee," she says as she takes another big gulp of her drink. The bell rings, signaling the start of the day. Ms. Broader walks in and tells us about our project that we will work on in class for the next two weeks. I can see Haley roll her eyes.
"We just took the AP test. Can't we have a break?!," Haley whispers to me.
I just smile and shrug my shoulders. Who knows what goes through teacher's minds. For our project we have to do the history of something. I'm going to do the history of marching bands since I am in the band along with Haley. We both play flute. I get a head start on my research on the topic during class. I'm interrupted when the bell rings. Time for Algebra 2. On my way to class I feel a buzz in my pocket. It is a text from Haley. She has second period with Owen.
"Hey, do you know why Owen walked up to me and told me to tell you to stop texting him?"
"Yeah, gosh he must really be mad. Last night we were texting and he was acting strange and he got mad when I asked him about it....," I quickly text her back.
"Well, he needs to calm down. He seems too agitated. No one is going to hurt him. Weren't you guys good friends last year?"
"Key word: were."
"Oh, well I still love you :P"
"Love you too :D"
The rest of the day was uneventful. Got homework in a few classes, but thank goodness it was dwindling down. We were mainly wrapping up the last units to get ready for exams in a few weeks. I didn't see Haley until band, the last period of the day. We had nothing to do since we already had our last concert for the year. She mainly sat there complaining about how her boyfriend was jealous of any friend she had and how clingy he could be.
