Chapter Sixteen: We Are No Longer Buddy-Buddies.

Sock stood there- Mephistopheles bore red eyes, grew out large golden horns, and flared shiny black wings. "I feel so betrayed, Sock," Mephistopheles boomed in a very deep demonic voice.
"Why did you want me to rush? I thought you said I could take my time, Meph!" Sock said, shaking with fear.
"Well Sock- if I want something done, I want it done now."
Mephistopheles, now a horrifying creature, landed on the ground with heavy magnitude. Sock needed to run, but where? Everything around him was dark- and he couldn't see anything except for an angry Mephistopheles.  Sock tried to think- but before he could, he was snatched by razor-sharp claws and thrown into a cage. "Sock, I must say that I've been making a lot of progress on what Hell should be like," Mephistopheles said, flying with the cage in his hands.
When they entered Hell, Sock looked around- horrified. Mephistopheles had enslaved all of the souls to work for him in some way.
"So Sock, how do you want to spend all of eternity? Working on a void? Carrying heavy death chains forever?" Mephistopheles asked.
Sock swallowed hard. "B-Before I uh- do any of that," Sock looked briefly to the left eyeing people burning, "uh- can you please tell me why you want Jonathan dead...?"
Mephistopheles gave him an angry stare. "Let's just say that if humans like you do not punch your own ticket to this place- it's a threat to me."
Mephistopheles growled and stared at the tiny demon. Sock stopped feeling scared of the devil that stood before him.
Mephistopheles displayed sharp teeth in front of the cage.
"W-Why is he a threat?"
Mephistopheles purposely avoided the question. "You ask too many questions," Mephistopheles looked at the watch on his wrist, "uh-oh it looks like it's dinner time." Mephistopheles started grinning wide with many sets of teeth Sock had never seen before...
