We just woke up at the pub we have slept in for the night. We're waiting for breakfast, as someone joins our table. It's a strange lady who has probably heard us talking about how we don't know where to search right now. We can't go back into the tunnels on our own again, so maybe some company of a person familiar with the city would not be a bad thing. "Hey, did you really get into the tunnels?", the lady says. We both look a little bit terrified, as we remember what we saw there. "It's really not safe in there", she continues. "You can't go in there without a good plan." As we look at her, I decide to tell a little bit about what we are coming for. After more talking, we find out her name is Kateryna. Kateryna is a Really strange name if you ask me. No matter how much the name is different, it is clear to us that she also wants to find out what's wrong. However, she is way further already with it than we are. She even has a map of the tunnels, which is really useful.

Breakfast finally arrives after a long conversation and the food we have is probably the best food we have had in days. It's been multiple days after we had some fresh food and it really boosts us. After we all finished our meals, Kateryna asks if we want to come over to her place. We decide it's a good idea, especially since she can help us and we might be able to help her as well. Maybe she could even join us on our quest for discovery. It would be nice though, since having more souls joining us could lead to ideas and theories we couldn't think of. Kateryna doesn't live far from the pub we slept at in a small house. It's pretty messy inside, but smart people always tend to have more stuff around when they're busy with something big. She decided to make us tea and I cannot recall on ever drinking any tea tasting this great. She doesn't seem to care much about the fact she barely knows us and shows us around the house really quickly. it's a really simple house, consisting of one floor. There's only a living room with a couch that barely fits in it and a small table. The kitchen is right next to it and the bedroom isn't big either. She isn't really the kind of person that needs much, but a person on her own doesn't need a giant mansion.

After the tour I decide to ask her if she wants to join us and find things out together. She gets really excited and that somehow makes me feel great. As excited as she is, she starts talking about what she has found out over the time she tried finding the answers. It turns our the things going on in the tunnels are only caused by the main problem. Apparently the king is hiding something, not in the tunnels, but in his own house. She really thinks that there is more to be found there, but you can't really just break into the house of the highest power of this kingdom. John has an idea though on how to get in there. He thinks we should try to find out his weekly schedule and look for times it is easy to enter the house. He doesn't have any guards that stand there all week, according to Kateryna. This will make it easier, but John and I both have no idea on how to get it there. Kateryna, however, knows how to open any kind of lock there is and she knows his weekly schedule. According to her, we will have the best chance to enter on a thursday night. He usually spends his time at the palace on thursdays until late in the night, since that is the day he has to decide what to do with the criminals that the guards have caught in the week. It's only wednesday now so we will have to wait here for a day. I don't really mind that though, since Kateryna is really nice. I somehow feel home in this tiny, messy house she lives in. As we chat up to kill time, it gets later and later. The plan is set for tomorrow and we are pretty much ready for it. Kateryna will pick the lock and John will keep guard outside in case anyone comes. She wants me to go in with her and find the files on the days just before the magical events disappeared. The night is gonna be long though, since John claimed the couch and I will have to lay on the floor probably. Still laying on the floor here, is better than laying out in the woods so I don't mind it. However, Kateryna offers me to sleep in her bed. I decide to refuse, because I don't want her to lay on the hard floor in her own house. She laughs at me and says: "Don't worry, place enough in one bed for two people". I smile and still accept the offer. She's really nice and she was right; It is a pretty big bed for one person. We're all really tired so both Kateryna and I fall asleep quite easily.
