After school, I ended up walking home with Beatrix since the guys had places to go after school. It was nice walking with Beatrix. She was talking about our adventure in the principal's office. She made it seem like I was a superhero. But was I? So, I decided to change the subject, "So Bee, Derek wants us to go bowling with him and Alex one day. He even gave me his number and email address. Isn't that exciting?" I say, looking at her.

She had the biggest grin I had ever seen, "That means he likes you!" she gasped softly, "We have to do it soon!" she says as she hugs me. I sighed softly as I hugged her back. "You do realize that is rushing?" I say, questioning her but at this point, it didn't matter because even though he gave me his number and email address, it doesn't mean he likes me. It's just natural way of growing a friendship that way we keep in contact all the time.

Beatrix nodded, "You're right, that would be silly." She smiled softly as we got closer to her house, she gave me another hug, "Talk to me later, okay? Better yet, get on MSN!" She says as she lets go and walked into her house. I was and am not a hero. I simply couldn't bear another day of Andrea bullying me. She has always bullied me since 4th grade. I didn't understand why. Was she jealous that I had Beatrix as a best friend and not her? Or was she jealous of something else?

I thought as I continued my walk to my house, a few houses down from Beatrix's. I noticed Dad's car still isn't here yet. So I walked inside and locked the doors for my safety. I walked up to my room and got onto my desktop. I stared blankly at it. I then pulled my backpack up to my chest so I can get it opened and do my homework first. As I finished my homework, a slip of paper fell out. It was the paper that Derek gave me. I then taped it on the corner of my desktop monitor.

Should I call him or should I wait? I thought about it for awhile then I decided to write an email to him instead. I didn't want to be rude if he was doing his homework. After I finished writing the email I logged onto MSN. Beatrix immediately writes to me:

BBTrix: Hey!! Did you call him?!

I laughed as I looked at her messaged and typed back:

Tabbular: No, but I emailed him. He's probably doing homework. He does have college enrollment classes you know.

BBTrix: Yeah, maybe. Got to go. Let me know how it goes.

Tabbular: Will do. See you tomorrow.

I logged out and turned off my computer. It was irritating not being able to see or talk to Derek more. It just felt physically impossible. I then stood up and laid on my bed and closed my eyes. I drifted away in my sleep. In my dream, something wasn't right about it. There was Derek, Andrea, and I. I wasn't sure what was going on but Derek was wearing a mask. A ski mask. He also had a gun. He then shot Andrea. His laugh began to fill the room. This wasn't a dream. This was a nightmare!

I woke up, breathing hard. It was already dark out. I rolled out of bed and looked out the window, "He still isn't here." I muttered, hoping my Dad will be home soon. As if. He won't be home until later tonight. I just know it. I then sighed and looked out the window.
