It was late and Alice and lamia were just now getting home. They were talking it off when they had walked in but stopped dead in their tracks when Sam, dean, dayna, Cas, and Crowley were all in the same room waiting for them.
"fuck..." Lamia muttered under her breath.
"I'm just going to go in the kitchen...." Alice said awkwardly but Dayna and Sam were on her heels. She began to do the dishes, cleaning nervously.
"Are you okay? You had us worried! Couldn't call me back?" Sam spoke loudly.
"Sam..." Dayna said trying to calm him down.
"God Sam! You're not my mother! I was doing something good, and yeah I must of had you worried but I had no fucking signal." Alice angrily spat.
"Ali..." Dayna said now trying to calm her down.
"What? I'm not going to be treated like a child!"
"This is ridiculous.." Sam said raking his hands through his hair.
"Sam, go. We'll talk about this later." Alice said and he mumbled a few words under his breath.
"Are you okay?" Dayna asked and began to wipe the dishes dry.
"Yeah."
"Where'd you go?"
"We went to see the city lights."
"What?" Dayna asked as she stopped dropped the rag.
"The lights?"
"That's our thing.. and you went with lamia? God, did she try anything on you?" Dayna asked annoyed that she had went without her.
"Hey, I'm fine. I don't understand what the big deal is.. It's just the lights?"
"Alice,That's your favorite place in the entire world. Where you go to when you're upset. Where WE go to..."
"No my favorite place in the world is right here with you and Sam and Dean." Alice said smiling. Dayna Ruffled her hair and walked out the kitchen and Alice followed.
"Where did you hide it lamia?" Crowley spat.
"This is gonna go on for hours..." Dean said groaning. Alice decided against sitting with Sam and looked at the ground, she could feel his eyes on her.
"Oh for the love of God, make up already, kiss!" Lamia said to Sam and he chuckled.
"Changing the subject aren't we, dear?" Crowley asked and she rolled her eyes knowing he wouldn't leave her alone until he got an answer.

"Those items are my insurance!" Lamia spat out, crossing her arms.
"Excuse me? Insurance for what?" Crowleys voice rose as he talked. "Return them to me!"

The room fell silent as the two demons had their petty argument, yelling out profanities yet refusing to strike one another. Alice couldn't help but notice that they fought like family. It reminded her of how Dayna and their mother would fight..

Alice shut the door quietly and ran straight up to her room past dayna who was wiping off their countertop. She could hear Alice's boots running up the stairs.
"Ali..?" Dayna called but all she heard was her door slam shut. Dayna sighed and dropped her mother's rag in the hamper as she went upstairs and knocked on her door.
"Ali, unlock the door." Dayna asked in a soft tone knowing something was wrong and knocked lightly.
"I don't wanna t-talk.." Alice sniffled out.
"Alice Singer, unlock the door." dayna said a little more sternly. She heard Alice shuffle around in her room and the door opened. Eyeliner was smudged down her face, eyes swollen, her face flushed. Alice went back to her bed and took her boots off.
"What the hell happened? I thought you were out with your friends tonight?" Dayna asked as she sat down next to her. Alice her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them.
"Ali, come on talk to me.." Dayna persisted.
"I saw Amber. She blew me off earlier today and she was kissing someone else.." Alice said and erupted in sobs.
"Hey, i always thought she was a bitch anyways.." Dayna said as she curled up next to her sister. Alice snuggled into the crook of her neck and still cried while her sister fought the urge to go find the girl that broke her sister's heart.
"There's a lot more girls out there... And boys... And vampires that are totally off limits. You deserved better, she showed you her true colors. In a way, it's good you're out of that relationship. There's going to be more heartbreak, but you're going to find the one. You're young! Worry about sneaking out and having to deal with me when I find out or worry about your finals.." Dayna said making Alice chuckle.
"I don't like guys.. I don't think i would ever end up with one."
"I don't know sis, never say never.." Dayna said and cracked a goofy smile to make her sister laugh.
"Is mom going to be home for my birthday?" Alice asked suddenly and the question made Dayna's heart sink.
"You know the hours she works..."
"She doesn't even remember it's my birthday, does she?"
"Hey, mom remembers. I bet you right now mom is thinking of something special.." Dayna said knowing she'd have to buy her more than one thing and lie saying it was from their mother too.
"I wish mom would let us see dad.." Alice blurted out.
"I know, but try not to focus on that. You have to get some sleep for school.. I didn't think you'd be out this late.." Dayna said standing up and covered Alice in her blanket.
"Goodnight, Ali.."
"Night sis.."
Dayna kissed her on the cheek and turned off her light and went back downstairs. Back to cleaning. She had to make the house spotless since no one else would do it. After she was done doing the dishes, wiping the counters, sweeping, and feeling like her hands and fingers were about to fall off.. she pulled out her laptop. She sighed once more as she began to pay some of their bills and began to look for Alice's birthday present. Hours passed and their mom had walked through the door.
"Mom..?" Dayna called out.
"What dear?" Their mother sighed in annoyance as she put her coat up and took her hair down.
"I cleaned the house and payed some of our bills.." Dayna said proud of herself.
"That's nice, dear, I'm tired.. I'm going to bed.."
"Mom, are you kidding, you can't talk for five seconds?" Dayna spat out and furrowed her brows.
"It's late and I've worked my damn ass off all day!" She said her tone sharp.
"If you would look around, you would see that I have too! I'm the one who makes sure your daughter, my sister, is fed and at school! I'm the one who keeps this house from falling apart! I'm the one who pays the bills! I'm the one who's buying Alice's birthday presents while I lie straight to her goddamn face because you can't even be a decent human being and get your daughter something for her birthday! Or even tell her happy birthday, or even talk to us!" Dayna yelled, her voice booming. At this point, Alice was sitting on the stairs watching in awe.
"I will not tolerate this tone from you, Dayna Marie Singer!"
"Oh and that's another thing, all your youngest daughter wants is to have a relationship with her father but you've denied her even that! I can't even get a simple thank you? You can't tell your daughters you love them every once in a while?" Dayna asked completely ignoring her mother.
"Dayna-"
"No mom, I get it, go. Go to your room, go get your sleep since you obviously need it so bad!" Dayna yelled her voice cracking. Alice quickly scrambled back into hers when she didn't hear her mother protest. Her mother went straight to her room and slammed the door. Dayna sat on the couch and let the tears roll. No one had seemed to appreciate anything she did for the family. But the thing that really bothered her was her mother missing out an Alice growing up. Alice crept quietly down the stairs to console her sister, but she was fast asleep on the couch. Exhausted from working her ass off and the yelling. This time it was Alice who picked up a throw blanket to put over her sister and she kissed her forehead.
"I love you, sis.." She whispered and walked back up the stairs and laid in bed. She knew she only had a couple hours until school, but her mind was racing, playing the argument over and over again.
