Alice and Dayna sat in the babies nursery, folding blankets and trying to organize the piles of clothes they had just bought.
Dean had finally put together the cribs the night before and Sam had painted them on the back porch, refusing to let the girls help because he thought the fumes would be harmful.
Everything was coming together, but that didn't make the silence in the room any less uncomfortable.
The boys insisted on having a meeting with Crowley and Lamia, yet they wouldn't tell Alice nor Dayna what the meeting was about.
Dayna had convinced Castiel to go with them, which made her feel better, but something just didn't feel right.
Something was different about today..

"Hey D.." Alice whispered quietly.
"Yes?" She stood up from the reclining rocking chair, a dark green plaid blanket in her hands.
"you okay?"
"Yeah it's just... I feel weird.." Alice muttered quietly, glancing up at her big sister. She was sitting on the floor on the other side of the room, admiring the tiny pink slippers Bobby had sent her in the mail, they had been hers when she was a baby.
"I know how you feel Ali.. I can sense it too. But it's gonna be okay, Sam and Dean will be back soon."
Alice didn't reply but pulled herself up, using the dresser as leverage, and padded over to the door. Her large belly looked oddly disproportionate against her petite 5'4" frame.
"Lunch?" She asked, already heading out the door.
"Only if we can order Chinese." Dayna smiled and followed.

"They should be here by now." Sam was pacing impatiently, keeping his eyes on the floor.
"Yeah well when can you ever count on demons.."
Sam glanced up at Dean who was fiddling with the bottom of his shirt. Then looked over at a disgruntled Cas.
"This is a very stupid idea." Cas muttered out.
"Wow, don't sugarcoat it or anything.." Dean replied quietly and continued to fiddle with his shirt.
"I just don't want anything bad to happen. We all know where trusting demons gets us." Castiel said reflecting back grimaced when he thought about how he disappointed heaven.
As if on cue, Lamia and Crowley popped in.
"I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up, I thought I would of gotten to at least chat with someone else.." Lamia muttered when she approached Sam and Dean.
"Just get straight to the point boys, what do you want?" Crowley asked.
"You remember our angel buddies going rouge right.. and demons all
gunning for us?" Dean asked silently,  hoping that this wasn't a mistake.
"By us, you mean you hunters. But yes...go on.." Crowley said, not too happy that he was there.
Lamia twirled pieces of her hair not really paying attention.
"You remember how dangerous it was for us?" Sam added.
"We need to be able to trust you." Dean said.
"We howled at the moon, how could you not trust me?" Crowley said.
"I'm just trying to get past the whole demon thing. Anyways, we want you to look out for children.. " Sam said and looked down at his feet, but he could feel their stares boring into him.
"Your personal baby sitters?" Crowley asked and scoffed.
"Think of it as bodyguards?" Dean suggested and glanced at Cas who was giving Crowley a stare down.
"Whatever. I mean It's not like I have plans or anything." Lamia said.

It was quiet for a moment before Dean chimed in.
"You'll get to spend time with Alice.."
This earned him a stern look from Sam who crossed his arms, then raked his hands through his hair.
"Cas is right, this is stupid. Let's go."
"No wait," Crowley spoke up, "we'll do it."
"We will?"
"Yes Lamia, darling, we will." He paused for a moment. "It's the least we can do."
"So we have an agreement or what?" Dean asked, lifting himself up from the old desk that he was leaning on. Both nodded.
"Awesome."

"Alice, you gotta talk to me.." Dayna spoke quietly, brushing strands of wild hair off her baby sisters forehead. She looked so disheveled yet so beautiful, swinging quietly on the porch swing, massive blanket draped around her shoulders. Her piercing green eyes were squinting at the sunlight in the distance, threatening to set early on the horizon. The beauty mark under her right eye seemed more prominent. Just as the thought crossed Dayna's mind, Alice reached up to rest her cheek in her hand, covering it.
She mumbled something under her breath that made Dayna raise her eyebrows.
"I'm nervous." She sighed.
"For what reason? Think your orange chicken is gonna be cold when it arrives?" Dayna laughed.
Alice closed her eyes and smiled slightly. "No, you big dork. About the babies."
"Our babies are gonna be just fine, Ali."
She looked up to see a small car bouncing into the driveway, "I promise you.. Now go get my wallet."
Alice smiled weakly as she nodded at her sister, still worrying about their babies. She stood up and left the blanket draping on the swing, walking into the house to look for Dayna's purse.
She scoured every inch of the kitchen- the counters, the dining table, everything.
She wiped the sweat from her forehead.
"If I was Dayna's purse, where would I be?" Alice sighed to herself and walked into the living room and spotted it on the coffee table.
"Aha!" she exclaimed as she found the purse and grabbed Dayna's wallet.
She paused for a moment when she saw a photo album on the table next to a bunch of newspapers and smiled to herself, then quickly made her way back outside to give Dayna her wallet.
"Thanks, Ali." Dayna said as she stood up and began walking off the porch. Alice grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around her as she followed her sister to get their food.
Neither one of them had the energy to carry everything inside so they sat back down on the large porch. The weather was nice and Alice loved being outside anyways, she loved hearing the noises of the outdoors and the cool autumn breeze.
Alice began to stuff her face with noodles but started to think about the photo album she saw on the table.

She started to think about the first time she had met Sam and Dean with Dayna. The way Sam had looked at her with that slight sense of protectiveness. How shy she was being towards him and how she had almost got herself killed hunting on her own. Alice thought about Sam accidentally knocked her towel off her and how exposed she felt.
She thought about how Dean would stare at Dayna when she wasn't looking just like she was his whole world, and how he still does. She thought about how badass her sister is, saving everyone's ass most of the time. Always the hero.
She thought about how Sam and Dean had to share a bed and how Sam was too big. And about Dayna's sarcastic remarks Along  with her not-so-casual flirting towards Dean..

"Ali... your food is going to get cold.." Dayna said, interrupting her thoughts.
"Yeah.. sorry.." she didn't realize she had stopped eating while wrapped up in her thoughts.
"Jesus Christ.." Dayna muttered and swatted a fly away.
Soon, it had seemed like they were swatting too many flies away.
"Let's just go inside and finish our meal.." Alice suggested and chuckled. Dayna nodded and stood up unsteadily but her sister didn't notice since she was already inside.
"Hey Dayna, are you coming?" Alice half yelled, half laughed, from inside the house. She rolled her eyes and walked towards the door.
"Dammit, you're going to let the flies in, Dayn-" she gasped and dropped the glass of water she had when she saw her big sister standing in the doorway.
The glass shattered yet neither of them flinched. It felt as if time had stopped as Alice focused on her sister.
Her face was so pale Alice couldn't make out her freckles, her plump pink lips were as white as a sheet. Dayna was breathing hard and holding herself up with the door frame, and then Alice saw it, her legs dripping with blood....
