Hey guys! Just want to thank everyone who commented and voted on the last chapter! I really appreciate it :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mya stayed a little longer and she told me about her honeymoon and showed me pictures. Chad and Maya looked so happy together- and I was happy for the two of them but the selfish part of me wonder when that was going to be me? Ever since I was a little girl I wanted the big wedding, the kids, and loving husband. I would've gotten it too if it wasn't for a stupid mistake I made when I was sixteen.

No, I would never call Noah a mistake. I love that boy more than anymore and anything in this world. I just wish he would've come until I was older and was actually ready to raise a child. Or at least when Trent was man enough to stick around and be a real man.

But no such luck. Trent wasn't man enough to be the father I needed him to be for Noah or man enough for me. I've never dated anyone after Noah was born. Who wanted to date a teenager with a kid? It's not different now that I am grown. I was all talk trying to stay away from Chris, but I was kidding myself. I liked him. And I wanted him to prove me wrong. That not all guys are afraid to date women with children. But I was right about him. Just like Trent, he had walked away.

After Mya left, I stayed up finishing an essay that was due in a couple days before going to sleep. The next morning, I got Noah up and ready for school before getting ready for class myself. I had two classes that day before going to work. I was working the cash register today when I heard the chimes by the entrance go off. I looked up, smiling at our new customer until I actually saw who it was. He made it really hard not to be attracted to him. Like, was it normal to look fine all the damn time?

I kept my resolve even when he walked up to the counter.

"Hi." He greeted me simply.

"Good Afternoon sir. Welcome to Dash. Can I help you?" I asked Chris, in my best business tone.

"Sierra-" He started to say.

"What Christopher?" I snapped.

"Are you ever going to call me Chris?"

"Probably not. Not if you're not going to buy anything, I want you to leave."

"Did you get the gifts I sent you?"

"Yes. You can take them back and give them to some other woman because I don't want nothing to do with you."

"You're not going to even hear me out?"

"I'm still a mother Christopher. I believe your words were not really my thing? What changed?"

"I just really thought about it and it was dumb for me to walk out on you like that." Chris said.

"Well you weren't the first one and you won't be the last." I replied.

"Can we go somewhere and talk please?"

"We're talking right now."

"Seinna-" He tried again.

"Leave Christopher. I'm done with you. "

Chris looked at me pleadingly but said nothing before walking out. I took a deep breath before going back to work.

It was a little after 7 when I got off work. I already arranged for my Mya to pick up Noah from school since she gets off work earlier than I do. I clocked out of Dash before leaving. I was surprised to see Chris's car still here.

I thought he left hours ago!

"What are you doing here still?" I asked once he put down the windows.

"I thought you might want a ride instead of taking the bus." Chris answered.

"And you've been here all day?"

"Well I left to get something to eat."

I stayed quiet.

"So do you want a ride home?"
