I entered Alaric's cell with a bag filled of necessities.

"Ric?" I called walking into the cell.

"Yeah? Still me. You know you shouldn't be in here. Defeats the point of the whole being locked in a cellar thing," He replied.

"Well, you still need the basics, toothbrush, clothes, some interesting books to help you stay awake and not kill anyone." I listed, sitting the bag down in front of him. He grabbed a book from the bag.

"Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde?" He read. I knitted my eyebrows and took the book.

"No, that's not what I- Damon, the bastard thinks he's amusing." I hissed.

"At least one of us still has a sense of humor." He muttered.

"Are you sure that you..... I mean, you don't have to be kept in here." I mentioned.

"Oh, no, this is.... ah, this is the right place for me to be. At least until you guys can convince my highly uncooperative alter ego to confess where I..... or he hid the white oak stake," My ex history teacher opposed.

"We looked everywhere. The other you hid it well, clever." I spoke.

"What's Klaus going to do if you can't find it?" Ric questioned.

"The only thing on this planet that can kill him," I pause and tapped my chin. "Wage war, kill people whilst throwing a hissy fit for not getting what he wants."

I took a chair and sat down in front of him.

"Stef is going to watch over you for a little while. Now that Klaus knows where Jeremy is, it's not safe. So.... Elena and Damon are going to go to Denver to pick him up." I added. He looked a me puzzled.

"How do you feel about it?" He asked. I sighed and took my ponytail down, running my fingers through my hair.

I thought about it, how do I feel?

"I-I mean I honestly don't know Ric, Damon and I aren't together anymore, so he's free to do as he pleases." I respond shakily. He tilted his head.

"Do you still love him?" The question hit me like a brick wall.

"Yes, unfortunately. Loving him or being in love with him isn't going to make moving on easier. It's like I don't feel the pain unless I talk about it." I answered, my breath starts to hitch and I breathe in slowly and let it go. I get up and lock the cellar door back. When I enter the den everyone's gaze follow mine.

Len looks at me before giving me a hug. I returned it and we pulled away.

"You s-sure you don't want to go instead, Elle because I- I can stay with Stefan." I shook my head and stopped her.

"It's fine go. If Damon's a pain throw these." I instruct handing her pop itz. She laughs before hugging me again.

"I wish you can come with us." My twin admitted. I shrugged.

"Nah, Stefan and I have to find this other stake from Alaric's unfortunate vampire hating alter ego." I replied. Damon picks up her bags and she gives Stefan an incredulous look.

"Stefan." She trailed.

"Be safe." He spoke, interrupting her. She looks at us once more before leaving. I turn towards Stefan and head back to the cellar. He zoomed in front of me causing me to halt.

"What Stef?" I questioned.

"You're going to school, Caroline needs help with the decades dance." He answered. I scoffed.

"Stefan, I didn't pass up the opportunity to see my little brother just to help Care with a dance." I snapped. He sighed.

"I know but for now you need to be normal for once go and help your best friend." He ordered. I gaped at him.
