So far but so close

Chatper 7

Phil's POV~
Little by little things started getting more normal around the flat. A couple days ago I made my first video in over awhile. It was nice to be back in my virtual world again full of lions, Star Wars, and anime. Dan and I still were the best of friends and nothing awkward ever came between us. I guess he felt both the kisses were only mutual. I accepted that factor but I did wish it meant something.

The hospital had me set some family doctor appointments so he could check on my head and chest.

"Everything looks great.! Healing well. Doesn't look like any infection... Nothing." Stated doctor Cogsworth. He stroked his very gray beard and looked over his charts he had. Dan, who was sitting in the chairs across the room looked like he was attempting to read the charts, despite them being to far away. He glanced up from his business at me. I shot him a sorta stern look and he stopped, uncomfortably shifting deeper in his seat paying attention to his phone instead.

"I do not have any concerns that you and i should worry about so, I'm going to do some paperwork and i'll let you two on your way." Doctor Cogsworth walked out of the room and left Dan and i to the silence. 

"Sorry Phil.." Dan blurted out, slightly refusing to look at me. I felt bad for giving him a stern look but it was necessary. 

"Don't be." I stated sympathetically. I hoped down from the bed that i was sitting in and grabbed my stuff in the chair next to Dan. I forced him to look at me. His brown eyes looked like big bowls of an endless creamy chocolate pudding. I forced myself to not melt in his eyes by turning away, feeling my face grow hot as well. I pulled him up and gave him a smile and then we both walked out of the doctors in silent. 

TIME SKIP...

I sat in the front room, of course, watching star wars, and faintly hearing Dan in his room talking to his camera about some cringy event that happened to him. I caught the word "Hospital" and "Some fans." My heart skipped a beat hoping he wasnt talking about the kiss. I quietly got up from the couch and tip-toed my way to his room. I leaned in on his closed door listened to the event. 

"Anyways, I'm sitting in the hospital cafeteria eating something, i dont remember what exactly, and two girls, very pretty i might add, came up to me. They gave me things, such as cards, some balloons, anime plushies, they were all for Phil. Now you might ponder oh Dan? How is that cringey at all.? Well, it wasnt them giving me the things were cringey, it was walking down the fucking hallway looking like some 4 year old struggling with balloons was cringey."

I silently laughed to myself, switching positions to keep my balance. 

"..However, I thank those girls tremendously. That was very kind and considerate of them, and if you two are watching, you have my utter most respect. " 

I got up, not wanting to get caught, to go finish my star wars. Having watched every season more times than my actual age, i knew what to expect, but it was too thrilling to not stop watching. 

DAN'S POV

Ending the video with my signature sexy end dance, i turned off the camera and plopped back on my bed. i was in a bit of a pickle. I hate to admit it but, I have a crush on Phil.. The kisses meant something to me. They kept me up all night wondering if Phil liked me too.. Or if he was doing this out of his own pity to make me feel better. 

I ran my fingers through my hair and took a long sigh. Phil was always on my mind now. Those videos that the fans send us of 'Phan,' I cant really help but dream that it was true, and or blushing because how much detail these fans put into these videos. I wondered what i should do now. Checking the clock and noticing it was around dinner time. I didnt want to be alone with Phil cooped up in the flat alone to let my feelings run rampage, afraid he might notice it even more. I made a virtual list of things that we could do right now. The only thing that made sense, was having dinner together and not cooking tonight. 

I sighed pushing my feelings back down my throat, got up, and walked to the front room. 

"Hey Phil..? Wanna go for dinner.?" He looked up from his Star wars marathon. 

"Yea sure. That sounds fun. " He said smiling. "let me get dressed tho. I changed after the doctors to get myself in the mood for star wars." I nodded taking his seat while he got up and got dressed. A few minutes later what seems like forever he came out. When he did, I had to cover up my mouth and pretend to cough to cover up my wide open mouth. 

"Ready.?" i asked getting up. He nodded. I grabbed my keys from the small coffee table we had and opened the door. 

"Have any places in mind.? I asked him heading down. 

"I do have one place in mind.."

OK OK OK SO LIKE... SCHOOL IS STARTING AND LIKE I DONT KNOW HOW ILL BE ABLE TO UPDATE AS MUCH AS I WANT. Mondays and Wednesdays i cant already. And in a couple months Monday's Wednesdays Fridays Saturdays and Sundays i wont be able too. I'll figure out something dont worry. I may just update at like 3 am in the morning lmfao. But trust me, i'll figure this out. Love you all ~Hannah
