Chapter 12 - The Prom to remember.
Christie's POV
I woke up to the loud sound of my phone. I set an alarm. I groaned at the thought of getting up. There was a knock on my door.
"Crystal, honey come on. You need to meet the girls at salon in an hour." Mum said.
"Yeah." I croak. I flop my feet over the side of the bed and get up. I trudge over to the door and open it, Mum's waiting at the door smiling.
"The showers on for you so it'll be nice and hot, I'll do some breakfast for you." She beamed then started for the stairs. Halfway down he started to talk to herself. "My baby, going prom."
I walk to the bathroom, a energy drained from me.
I can't be arsed to do anything.
*********
I took my time in the shower basking in it's heat. The water slowly woke me up and I started to think brightly about today.
"I'm going to prom... with Brett." I smiled to myself.
**********
After the shower I went back to my room and threw on some clothes. Sweat pants and a black shirt, that now mathces my newly dyed hair.
Downstairs Mum had set out my breakfast: toast and a mug of steaming coffee.
"Morning, honey." Mum said.
"Morning." I smiled.
"Eat up you have," she looked at her watch. " twenty minutes."
I took a few bites of my toast and downed my coffee, my throat burned from it piping hot touch. Then I rushed up the stairs brushed my teeth and hair (not at the same time) grabbed a stick of gum the ran back down the stairs and grabbed my dress.

Mum drove me to the salon in town, it was possibly the best salon in the county. Everyone who went there always came out fabulous.
I stood outside the salon, at first look you would think the inside is small but once iside you can see the three room that take up the salon. The first was hair, the second was nails and facials and the last was a tanning studio.
I stepped inside the salon and straight away the smell of hair products filled my nostrils. There was a small blond woman sat at a large desk, making her size look even smaller. The woman looked at to the door, she gave me a smile then told me to take a seat and someone will be with me soon
I sat on one of the many leather chairs situated in front of loadof massive mirrors. I took a look at myself in a mirror. Boy did I look a state. My black hair has the occasional tufft and I looked like I was going to bed in my sweat pants and top. My eyes still had bags underneath them. As I searched my face I noticed that had a spot a my chin. Great... Just... Great. Day of prom and I have a zit.
I took my eyes from the mirror incase I found any more inperfection that I might worry about. I took my phone from my pocket and turned it on. As soon as it went on, an alert came up. 3 new messages:
