As the boys walk up the broken stairs that were all blown to bits by whatever had happened in the past. They all stumbled, the climb being uneasy and uneven, but surprisingly made it to the top. They looked inside, the gate broken from what had happened.

What they saw was something new to their eyes.

"Holy shit..." Tyler gasped in awe.

The place was broken down, torn banners, broken walls, floors destroyed.

A sight unbearable.

"There has to be something that could help us find Mom..." Chris said, a bit mad with the sight, not helping him on his mission. Carlo put his hand on his shoulder, and shook his head. Chris' shoulders loosened up a bit.

"We'll find her..." Carlo sighed to him, but went ahead and took out his wand.

"Okay, we're gonna have to look around. Split up, look around."

"Good idea, let's look. See if anything is off." Jorge agreed.

"Everything about this place is off..." Tyler muttered.

"No kidding." Sub whispered to him, teleporting away to look around.

For about a few minutes, they searched up and down the place. There wasn't anything, except a lever that was hard to pull down and a broken bridge with a pile of stone that seemed off.

"Um... guys? Can we look here for a second?" Chris asked. Carlo went behind him and made a bridge with the magic Seto had taught him. It was crossable, as they looked at the pile of rubble.

The horror had shocked them.

"N-No... way..."

It was a woman, trapped under the stone with her arms cradled as if she was protecting someone. Her dress was torn, her golden crown fallen next to her head.

"T-This... must have been the queen..." Jorge stuttered out. "S-She looked like she was protecting someone..."

"Whoever it was... they did it for love." Sub assured.

"No doubt about it." Carlo agreed.

"It's not Mom... she must still be okay." Chris muttered under his breath.

"Chill, it's gonna be okay." Tyler said. "We'll make sure we'll help you find your mom."

"There isn't anything else... let's check the throne."

A silent agreement, as they let the lost queen to rest. They slowly creeped behind the throne, as they saw a torn note with the wall behind the throne was demolished, and footsteps leading out, deep enough that the grass had a different shade of green. Jorge picked up the torn note, and gasped.

"Guys... check this out."

I'm surprised you made the effort to come here.
I knew your lost mother would drive you here.
She's here, hidden with me.
In the kingdom.
Find her, fight me,
If you defeat me, you can take your mother back.
Good luck.

"Oh my..." Sub mustered up the words to say at the mysterious note. Everyone was in shock, what could they do but stare?

"We have to follow those footsteps. They're the only way we're gonna be able to find mom." Chris said, crossed but determined.

"I-I dunno guys... I'm getting a bad feeling about this." Tyler stuttered out.

"We came so far, I see no point in trying to turn back." Jorge responded.

"No... I agree with Tyler. I feel as if some of us are gonna be hurt badly." Carlo butted in. "But... you're also right. No turning back now."

"What are we waiting for?"

However... in the future...

"SHIT- JORGE!"

...

"S-Sub, w-wait!"

...

"Chris... please..."

...

"No, Carlo!"

...

"Tyler, why!?"

...

A risky task ahead.

...

"All we have to do is follow the footsteps, right?" Chris asked for reassurance. Everyone nodded in agreement, jumping off to follow the footprints. Carlo stayed behind for a while, and took out his spray can. It was green.

He took it out, and wrote behind the throne which still stood tall.

"Return."

"We'll return back here. I just feel we would."

He dashed off to meet back with the others to start the dangerous search.

...

how was that for a chapter?
