Chapter 11 - I wish...

"These steps are taking forever... Carlo, can you teleport us out of here instead of having to climb up these thousands of steps...?" Tyler groaned.

"Quit whining, we're almost there." Sub grumbled, his concentration on getting up the steps. He needed energy.

"Even if, it wouldn't be enough energy." Carlo sighed. He kept thinking of Ashley, performing a small smoke spell to make a small drawing of smoke in the air, shaped of a heart.

"I hope we can get this done... but where would our villian be...?" Jorge asked. "We became off track..."

"...Maybe... we can get a birds eye view?" Chris thought out loud. He seemed more dazed than ever.

"Maybe... but we should go back to the castle to see if we missed anything." Sub suggested.

"Gah... can we rest?! My legs are dying..." Tyler complained.

"I'll admit, my legs are pretty sore... let's eat." Jorge agreed. Chris grumbled under his breath, but sighed and sat down to chow down on his food with slight anger. Carlo stared at him with concern as he continued to silently eat his sushi.

As they ate in silence, they looked up every now and then, seeing the hazy purple and blue clashing together the more the night grew. Those white stars would twinkle every time. At some point, a shooting star flew across the sky. They all gasped.

"A wish..." Jorge muttered.

'I wish I can find my mother...'

'I wish I can see Chris smile again...'

'I wish we can go home.'

'I wish this task will be successful.'

'I wish to return safely at home.'

"I-I'm sure... we wished for something good... right...?" Carlo asked quietly.

"Y-Yeah..." Tyler managed to say fluently with the amount of potatoes in his mouth.

"I would hope so." Sub agreed. Chris only nodded, but sighed as his tense shoulders loosened.

...

The same shooting star had shot across the sky above the city. The girls saw it, and had tears in their eyes, making a wish.

'I wish my love can return safely home.'

'I wish this riot can be over.'

'I wish everything will be okay.'

And the same time, so did the adults.

'I wish my brother will be okay.'

'I wish they will find her again.'

'I wish my creation can protect them.'

'I wish he doesn't blow a fuse.'

...

And the mysterious kids, had also made wishes.

'I wish he can see me the way I see him.'

'I wish she can talk to me more.'

'I wish she can notice my eyes on her.'

'I wish he can be by my side for a long time.'

'I wish I can be at peace.'

...

But then... the havoc Kingdom.

"Damnit!" Adam had yelled. "Why... this must all be a misunderstanding..."

"A-Adam... calm down..." Alesa had tried to comfort him. With the sound of her voice, he did. Ty had sat down, leaning against the castle walls, trying to sort out what just happened. Jason flew above to make sure they didn't come back.

But Seto was filled with rage, pacing his tower with anger over his mothers death. Ty sighed, and stepped outside. He sensed Seto's frustration over a mile away, as the same star flew.

'I wish Seto can calm down...'

Meanwhile, Mitch felt fear. He seemed devastated over his fathers action, as he laid in his bed. Quentin had made a moat surrounding their temporary base, while Ian made some food over the burning fire. Jerome looked up from the treetops and made a wish.

'I wish this could all be dealt with.'
