Ryan's POV
I've never been so scared for someone's life. When I agreed to come with him, I never imagined it would escalate into something so sinister.
I won't ever be able to forget the scene. Brendon's face pale and his dad's a deep red. He kept crying about the baby... but yet when his dad was going for his life, Brendon had a certain look of relief.
I kept my arms folded around my waist and Mom massaged my shoulder while she whispered words of reassurance to me. "I'm sure everything is completely fine. Brendon can come stay with us for now. We won't let anything hurt him."
"I was so scared Mom. I couldn't do anything to help him." I blink back tears just thinking of how helpless I was.
"But he'll be okay." I shake my head. You can never be so sure. What if he damaged a major organ? Or worse, what if something's wrong with the baby? I don't want to think like that.
A few minutes later a doctor comes out with Brendon walking sheepishly behind him. I stand immediately and when Brendon is in my reach, I pull him into my arms. "So is there anything wrong?" I hear Mom ask.
"He'll just be very badly bruised. Nothing major. But we'd like to start weekly check ups on the fetus." I really hate when they use that word. We should've just got Patrick to examine Brendon. I don't care if it was his day off. "Only to make sure that there's no problems that form."
"Okay. That'll be fine. We can't be too sure." I'm still holding Brendon tightly. If this were two weeks ago, I'd be standing at least four feet from Brendon, but at this point, why try and hide my sexuality. Why try and hide Brendon. "Boys, are you ready to go home." Brendon nods into my chest and we part. "We'll go to your house tomorrow to get your stuff, but you'll just have to wear something of Ryan's to school tomorrow."
"I don't want to go back to that house. Not with him around." They didn't do anything about Brendon's dad. They said he was emotionally unstable. They're getting him a nurse to 'help him', but I know that his dad needs more than help. He needs to be punished.
"Brendon, your mom agreed to let you pack up your thing and move out while your dad is at therapy."
"He's not my dad. Not anymore." Brendon's dark bangs hung in his eyes. He looked so sad. I do what I can to make him smile. I simply take his hand and say,
"We'll get through this, no matter what."

I don't know how Mom expected Brendon to fit into any of my clothes. For one, he's got a figure and I clearly don't and for two, he's pregnant!
"It's okay... I can just wear the same clothes I wore yesterday." Brendon says, sitting on the end of my bed. I continue to go through the tons of clothes own. I seriously don't have one thing he could wear?
"No. That's stupid. I know I have something you can wear." I finally find a black D.A.R.E shirt that Keltie got me a few year back. We had a huge fight because it was too big and she knew I like my clothes to be tight fitting. "Here! This should fit." I toss the shirt to him and crack my back. I slept on the floor last night. I obviously wouldn't make a pregnant boy sleep on the floor.
"Um... Ryan? Could you leave for a second?"
"Why?"
"So I can change my clothes."
"It's not like I haven't seen you naked." I say. I need to do my hair. It doesn't look this good on command.
"Right..." He slowly pulls off his shirt, revealing his slightly bloated stomach. He looked uncomfortable. I changed in front of him. What's the big deal? I sigh and go to the door.
"Knock when you're done." A small smile creeps on his face.
"Thank you."

"Are you sure you don't just want to drop me off a few roads down?" Brendon asks from the passenger seat.
"Brendon. I'm not gonna make you walk. And besides, I don't care anymore." I get out and meet Brendon at the front of the car. He throws his backpack over his shoulder and makes a strained noise. "Here give me your bag."
"I can get it."
"I don't want you to hurt your back Bren, give me the bag." Besides, I didn't have a bag to carry. Brendon gives in and hands over his bag. "Holy shit. What do you have in here?"
"My school books. I needed to bring up my grades or else my parents were going to take away my car... guess that doesn't matter now." There's eyes all over us, so what I'm about to do may be a bit insane, but I'm already going to hell right?
I quickly take Brendon's hand. "Ryan? What are you doing?" He whispers to me.
"Just smile and let it happen." We walk into the school hand and hand. There were plenty of weird looks. For sure. Some swim team members approach us and give Brendon a dirty look.
"What the hell is this Ryan?" Max Taylor, soon to be one of my former best friends, growls at me.
"This, is Brendon. Why do you ask?"
"We know who he is. Why the fuck are you holding his hand?"
"Cause I want to."
"But he's a fucking fag."
"Yeah? Well... so am I." Brendon stares at me in awe. Yeah, I just said that. I can hardly believe I just said that.
"Then you wouldn't be needing you place as captain of the swim team will you?"
"Hey, that's not fair. He didn't do anything." Brendon says, stepping in front of me slightly.
"Well that isn't your choice to make is it?" Max says, pushing Brendon back. My vision goes red and Brendon is cringing in pain.
"Don't fucking touch him!" I yell, getting in Max's face. I ball my fist up at my sides.
"What are you gonna do?" I narrow my eyes at him and punch him in the jaw. "Fuck you Ross!"
"Hey! There will be no tolerance for profanity in this school." The principle marches towards us pointing finger a Max.
"But he punched me in the face!"
"Mr. Ross is the perfect student. I don't want to hear your excuses as to why your are dropping f bombs." He grabs Max's arm. "You're coming to the office right now."
I quickly turn to Brendon and put a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah... I'm fine. I'm sorry I got your title revoked."
"Please. Max can't do shit to me and even if he did, I wouldn't care. I've got more important things to deal with anyway."
