Journey
We went to contest the other day
And the judges said we stunk.
But I would have to disagree
That what we did was junk.
We spent 3 months just practicing
For the pieces we would play.
We felt ourselves improve a bit
Each and every day.
When we started out this year
No one played a scale.
Now we play all twelve of them
Before the Bach Chorales.
It doesn't matter what they say
With their ridicule and scorn.
The judges don't mean squat to us
