Heino's POV:

2014, It's the last day of our camp, I somehow not so excited to go home. I have to face father again.

I sighed by just thinking of it.

Campers are now exchanging notebooks to leave a note to each other.

"Hi, kuya Heino right?" a girl's voice called my name I glanced at her.

"Yep, Hi! you're Thana."

"Here's my notebook." She offered me her notebook. I know what she wants me to do but as far as I remember, I have no idea nor memories bonding with this girl. She's pretty and white and so young. Well, as much as I don't want to receive her notebook. I accepted it anyways. I have nothing to write but I can just write flowery words.

"here's mine." I gave her my notebook as well. I just want to see if she could write something interesting for me as well. She accepted my notebook with a smile and wrote on it.

How on earth she can think of something she could write in that notebook?

"here, done!" she gave my notebook back.

SHE'S DONE ALREADY?!?

"Oh..."

it's just my first sentence in her notebook.

"Sorry, I'm still not done with yours."

"It's fine." she said.

"Alright..."

"Do you want to come with me to the flower garden? Everyone has a partner." she asked. I glanced to our surroundings and yes, she's right. They're partnering.

Well, I don't have something to loose, and my crush already left because their departure is morning.

"Yeah sure." I didn't finish writing on her notebook and just followed her to the garden.

"You walk so slow, Heino."

Oh her audacity..

"Yeah sorry." I answered her. I am not interested to argue or whatsoever.

We were the last partner to the group. Nasa pinakalikod kami. Most of them are arms intertwined. As for us, we're not touching because she's running.

We found ourselves on a precarious hanging bridge, navigating through a mini forest. The dense canopy of trees had cloaked the 30-foot high, 13-meter long bridge, allowing only slender rays of sunlight to filter through. Beneath us, a tranquil river flowed amidst scattered boulders.

The bridge swayed too much as Thana darted across it, her energy vibrant and infectious, exuding a lively and joyous spirit.

How lucky.

I halted as she abruptly ceased running, finding herself stranded in the middle. A smile graced my face as a butterfly delicately perched upon her hand, adding to her natural beauty.

However, my smile vanished as she callously plucked its wings and let it fall into the water. A chill swept over me, a sense of unease creeping in.
