Well, watching over Magnus was hard enough because of how often he got in trouble.
But it was harder when Hearth and Blitzen kept getting 'distracted', per se.
At first it was little; hugs that lasted a couple extra seconds longer, a brush of hands when they passed by.
It got to be more, though. Every once in a while, Blitz would kiss Hearthstone on the cheek. The two would cuddle on cold nights, while they watched over Magnus.
A couple of times they nearly got caught. Magnus would turn unexpectedly, leaving Hearth and Blitz standing awkwardly close.
It wasn't much, but every chance the two were giving was taken. Even the ones that had more risk than profit.
After all, sometimes love had to be sneaky.
