The moon glimmered in the Rose Waters as if there was a whole new world with a whole new moon. One shape seemed outlined against the waters, staring through it with piercing orange eyes. As if at an exact moment was planned, the shape gave a lung through the water and into the real world. The cat's dark gray pelt blended in with the sky, but her outline was still just barely visible. Behind her, five more cats joined her the same way she had come.

"I see you are thinking the same thing," a blue-gray she-cat murmured to the gray cat, dipping her head.

"Bluestar, all of Starclan knows what is going on here. And what will happen if we don't guide this cat carefully." The gray cat responded. Bluestar looked at the gray she-cat carefully.

"We may not me these cat's ancestors, but their original clan-creators where our friends. They left the clans to find a new place because our forest was getting crowded. It is our job to make sure all the forests are safe, no matter who lives there. Even you know this, Yellowfang." Bluestar meowed, finally sitting down and tucking her small paws neatly in front of her, her bushy tail tip twitching anxiously.

"Yes, and you know that if we come to her in dreams to often, she will be overwhelmed. She already has to be strong enough to withhold all the powers she was given long ago, we don't need to give her more words and strengths to hold with her." Yellowfang stared off into the night sky as if she was a living cat looking for an omen.

"That is why I think we should give our message to another cat... if we do give this omen to a cat she trusts the most, we will be able to talk to her through this cat." Bluestar said. She looked as if she had thought about this for quite some time. One of the other three cats stepped forward, her partly gray fur shining.

"I'm not there for her anymore. She trusted me the most, but I have an idea of who we should send the message too. He will understand quickly. He is the only other cat she has in her life to trust," the cat chimed in.

"Featherwisp, you know that this cat might not be able to be trusted. He could have been faking all along." Yellowfang protested, fur bristling.

"And if we are wrong, so what? She will probably be able to figure out how to fix this... just not as soon as we need." Bluestar pointed out.

"But if we are right, we will be able to talk to her through this cat without overwhelming her." Featherwisp concluded.

"Then it's decided." another blue-gray cat padded up to sit next to Bluestar.

"Stonefur, I don't think this is for you to decide," Yellowfang hissed. Bluestar finally saw the cranky in the gray she-cat's voice. It usually would make her happy to see the old Yellowfang was back, but she had focused on something else right then.

"It is not a matter of who is deciding right now. The fact is, the cats can't survive without Starclan helping them. I'll send the message now," a light gray she-cat padded back into the pool.

"Ah, Feathertail. So wise. Shame, she didn't make it back to the clans. She could have been useful with us on the great journey. If Starclan would have sent a message to any cats on the journey, it would have been her." Yellowfang sighed.

"We better go back with her. She can't sent a message on her own." Bluestar padded back into the pool, followed by Stonefur. Yellowfang let her gaze rest on the stars for a moment before padding back after them. As she went, a shudder passed through her. Come on, cats of Starclan. We can do better that what we are doing. We are missing something, but what? She thought before vanishing beneath the cold invisible waters below.
