Everybody but the first years was seated in the Great Hall. I am seated between Fred and George Weasley and across from Raven who was beside Percy.

“I can’t believe this is our third year at Hogwarts!” Raven exclaimed in disbelief.

“Ha. I still remember when I was sorted. It was nerve racking.” I remembered.

”I still remember the facial expression Raven had. It was hilarious.” Fred told us. Of course Fred would remember that.

“Shut up. My dad didn’t tell me the hat could talk.” Raven mumbled, blushing slightly.

“I remember Alex over here glaring at the hat. Daring it to put her in Slytherin. If it did I’m pretty sure she would have set it on fire.” George told us while ruffling my hair. I glared at him.

“Be quiet. It’s about to start.” Percy told us going into Perfect mode. I remember when he got the damn badge. That was hilariously funny. He wouldn’t let anyone touch it. You touched you died.

Suddenly the doors of the Great Hall opened and the first years entered with Professor McGonagall leading them in. I spotted Harry and Ron and waved at them. I saw Hermione glaring at me. I glared right back at her. She turned her face away. Yeah. Be afraid of the glare; be very afraid of the glare. Never has anyone out glared me. Not. Even. Snape. I smiled in satisfaction.

“I wonder if Ron believed me about wrestling a troll” Fred whispered to me.

“Shh.” Percy glared at us. Shut up. Your making more noise by doing that you stupid Perfect.

The first years stopped right in front of the High Table were all the Professors sat. Dumbledore in the middle. The stool with the Sorting Hat was in front of them. The hat twitched and started to sing the song he sings every year. The whole hall burst into applause. The hat bowed to all tables and the hall became quiet again.

Professor McGonagall stepped forward with a long sheet of parchment.

“When I call your name please step forward and sit on the stool while I place the hat on top of your head to be sorted.” She told the first years.

“Abbot, Hannah!”

“HUFFLEPUFF!”

“Bones, Susan!”

“HUFFLEPUFF!”

“Boot, Terry!”

“RAVENCLAW!”

“Brocklehurst, Mandy!”

“RAVENCLAW!”

“Brown, Lavender!”

“GRYFFINDOR!”

The whole Gryffindor table erupted with applause. Our first new Gryffindor.

I zoned out after that remembering the time I got sorted…..

All the first years were crowded in a hall outside the Great Hall were we heard all the other students gathered. Hagrid opened the door and Professor McGonagall walked through.

“Now we will go into the Great Hall for you to be sorted into your house by the Sorting Hat. Now come on follow me.” She told us.

We all followed her into the Great Hall. I was holding onto George’s arm as we walked through the Great Hall. All of the eyes fell on us as we made our way through. Suddenly I stumbled as someone ran into me. I turned around and a girl with platinum blonde hair and blue eyes was smirking at me.

“Watch where you’re going. Don’t want to make a fool of yourself now do you?” She questioned me.

Fred grabbed my other arm as we came to a stop In front of the High Table. A stool sat before it with the Sorting Hat placed on it. Professor McGonagall came forward with a long piece of parchment in her hands.
