Halloween. One of my favorite holidays. Today. Wow. I can’t believe it. My first holiday without my mum to send her signature card to tell me ‘Happy Halloween’. Halloween was always a Black family favorite holiday. Raven, Fred, George and I were sitting in the Great Hall at dinner, waiting for the feast to begin.

“I still can’t believe that Camilla said that to you. It was so rude.” Raven told me, but I didn’t really hear her. I was still thinking about my mum.  Somehow no matter how deep of a funk I was in my friends will always attempt to cheer me. Weather it was doing something stupid and getting detention or bugging me till I smiled. They always tried their hardest to cheer me up. We do that for each other no matter what. I love them for it.

“Earth to Alex.” George said to me while waving a hand in front of my face.

“Wha-“I shook my head and looked at my friends. They all looked concerned.

“Are you okay?” Raven asked me with concern written all over her pale face, blue eyes showing that she was genuinely concerned.

“I’m fine.”Lie.

“No you’re not. You have been thinking about you-know-what again, haven’t you?” said Fred.

“Maybe.” I told them looking down at the palms of my hands.

“Alexandria Sophia Black, you better not be lying to me.” Raven told me from across the table, pointing an accusing finger at me. I just stare at her.

Fred looks away and starts a conversation with Lee Jordan. Raven challenges my glare.

“How can I lie when you know the answer?” I asked her.

“She has a point.” George buts in. He always has my back. Always. Even when I tell him to go away. He never has and probably never will.

“True…..” Raven grins at me. I grin back. How could I survive without them?

Raven goes into the conversation with Fred and Lee.

“You know it is okay for you to feel like this.” George told me softly, while rubbing my back in a comforting way. I can always count on him.

“I know. But no matter how hard you try you will never know how I feel. I try to push the feeling away but it keeps coming back.” I told him.

“You know a lot of people look up to you because of how you wear your heart on your sleeve. It is one of the things that people like about you.” George tells me looking at me with a spark in his warm brown eyes.

“Thank you.” He smiles at me. I smile back at him.

He knows how exactly to cheer me up. Don’t get me wrong I love Fred and Raven also, but they are more of the comic relief in my life. Seriously. I will never forget the time that Camilla bullied me so much that I ran up to my room, Raven came to my rescue and sang/screamed “Dancing Queen” by the muggle band ABBA. That was the day that we became best friends. And I love her for that. Then the other time when people were making fun of me because they found out who my dad was and I was in the common room and Fred let dung bombs go off in the fire place. They have always been there for me. George has always been the sympathetic one and let me get all my anger/sadness out on him. No matter how it was. Whether it was punching a pillow he was holding, yelling at him, or using him as a cry pillow.

“Oh look. So cute. It’s the ginger and the Black.” Said a snotty blonde named Camilla. “Having fun, Weasley? Like what you see? Better watch out, Weasley, you never know she might turn into her father and kill a lot of people.”

“Do you have anything better to do, blondie?” Raven asked her getting away from her conversation with Lee. She probably heard the clicks of Camilla’s heels.
