Everybody has heard that Harry, Ron, and Hermione fought the troll in the girl’s bathroom on Halloween night. Apparently something happened to make those three inseparable. Interesting. Very peculiar if you ask me.
Today is also the day of the Quidditch match between Slytherin and Gryffindor. Now that I have thought about it, I haven’t heard any antagonizing from Camilla since Halloween. Usually she would be all up in my face saying how bad we are going to lose and that I need to watch my back just in case some-one were to push me off my broom. (She has threatened that before but never went through with the threat)
“So, Black, ready for the match today?” Oliver Wood asked me when he caught up with me in the hallway.
“Hell yes, Wood. You know it. I’m so pumped up for the match it’s not even funny. I can’t wait till we use our secret weapon.” I told him as we got outside to walk to the changing rooms.
“And who would that be, Miss Black? Besides of course you.” Wood asked jokingly.
“Potter of course. Who else?”
“Could be me.” George said as he caught up with Wood and I. He swung his arm around my shoulders.
“But everyone knows the human Bludgers.” I said in a fake southern-American accent.
“Shut it, Black.” He told me, poking my side playfully. I squirmed and giggled to get out of his grip. I’m extremely ticklish.
“Shut it, Weasley, only I can call her Black.” Wood told George, smirking.
“It is true.” I said shrugging.
Once we made our way to the changing rooms Oliver, George and I went our separate ways to get changed.
“Hey, Alex, do you know if Raven is going to be our reserve player today?” Angelina Johnson asked me.
“No, Wood caught her asleep on her broom during practice.” I informed her.
“Again?” Katie jumped in.
“Yeah, she is a lazy child.”
“No kidding. So now we are down to one reserve player.” All three of us looked at Alicia.
“Remember I can only go in for Chaser.” She told us, as she pulled on her scarlet and gold uniform top.
“We remember.” Katie said, putting her hair in a pony tail.
Once the girls and I were done getting changed and putting our hair up we walked into the guy’s changing room to get the annual pep talk from Wood.
Everyone sat down on the benches. I sat between Fred and George. Wood cleared his throat for silence.
“Okay, men,” Wood said.
“And women.” Angelina and I said.
“And women,” he agreed. “This is it.”
“The big one,” said Fred.
“The one we’ve been waiting for.” George continued.
“We know Oliver’s speech by heart,” Fred told Harry. “We were on the team last year.”
“Stop corrupting the boy’s mind, Fred.” I slapped the back of his head.
“Shut up, Fred and George,” Wood said, annoyed. “This is the best team Gryffindor has had in years. We are going to win. I know it.”
He glares at everyone daring them to make this team lose. He doesn’t meet my glare. I always knew Oliver Wood was smart.
“Right. It’s time. Good luck, all of you.” He told us.
