Hey y'all, I hope you like this story, I am entering this in Wattpad's Summer Fling contest on their romance book. And without this little note it's 2,311 words. Don't forget to comment what you think!

Basking in the summer sun, an easy grin slid on Cassandra's face as her favorite song pumped through her earbuds. School had been out for a week now and she had deemed this to be her summer. This would be the summer that she would finally be noticed by a guy and be able to return with a hot story to tell all her friends about in the fall.

"Scoot over," a tall red head stated, sliding the glass door shut before making her way over to Cassandra.

"You have your own towel," Cassandra retorted, but she moved over nonetheless for her friend.

"This is my pool that I'm letting you use," the red head teased.

Pulling her earbuds out and disconnecting them from her phone, the song blasting from her speaker. "Just listen Teresea," Cassandra spoke.

Both girls stopped talking as the singer's voice cooed, her voice speaking of a heart that was breaking but no matter what happened, she would never let something like that happen again. Teresea smiled as she rubbed sun block on her legs, quickly holding the bottle up to her friend.

Cassandra shook her head, "no thanks. I plan on getting a tan this summer."

"Better to have a tan and no skin cancer instead of the other way around," Teresea sang.

Cassandra bit her lip as she took in Teresea's beautifully tanned skin. She was wearing a strapless white bikini that accentuated her athletic figure. Teresea wasn't just on one sports team at school; she split her time between soccer and track and field. And if that wasn't enough, she dedicated at least three hours of her time to the gym four days a week.

In Cassandra's mind, Teresea knew exactly what to do to stay in perfect shape. So without wasting another thought, she took the sun block and started rubbing it on her skin.

Teresea raised a perfectly plucked eyebrow but didn't say anything. Instead she slipped her sun glasses on top of her head, grabbed a French fry off her plate and continued to look at the crystal clear pool that her brother had cleaned a couple hours earlier.

"So, what's the plan?" She asked studying the way the water rippled as a lone leaf glided on the surface.

Cassandra set the sun block down, settling herself back on her arms. "No plan."

Teresea turned her attention away from the pool and onto her best friend. In all the years that she had known Cassandra, never once did she not have a plan for something. While in school Cassandra would plan accordingly which classes she had to study for getting right down to the hours. And during mid-terms and finals week, it was a miracle if her friends saw her the week before and during. In their group, Cassandra was their little nerd, and she took that title with pride.

While they were sometimes concerned that she studied too much, Cassandra would always make it up to them by planning girls' night. All the junk food they could eat, and an endless supply of makeup products to test out and movies ranging from sappy romance to extreme horror, Cassandra always made sure they were able to forget their troubles before the night even ended.

So for her to not have a plan, even something so small as a checklist, made Teresea nervous.

"What do you mean no plan? You always have a plan."
