Aye
Right now it's like 11pm
And I'm not really tired because I took a really long nap between 5 and 9
So yeah
I went to band camp :3
'Twas fun

So dis is what happened

So I went there to the high school's band room
And my cousin and one of my best friends were already there
So we just talked for a while then we all went out to the field and brought our water and sunscreen
I didn't have bug spray so I just used someone's else's
So when we got to the field everyone had somewhat of a trouble for the first few minutes placing themselves in their spot
Because like each section(some sections were merged) in one line
And like each person had to be like four steps away from eachother
And so I was all the way in the back
And I'm pretty sure we stretched first
I can never touch my toes when bending ;-;
And so after stretching for a while we went over stationary commands(I think I said it right, don't judge me)
And we basically practiced them for a few hours
We also took water breaks in between so we didn't die
I heard some people almost passed out by the time we finished
Oh btw, I think there's like around 30ish people here this year
Last year my cousin told me there was around 70ish people
So yeah
After we finished outside, we went inside for a lunch break, oh also, you're allowed to have you parents pick you up and take you somewhere to eat
But I'm pretty sure everyone just packed a lunch and ate in the hallway
So
About my lunch........
So my mom gave me pizza slices
But in my lunch box, I have like 2-3 very cold water bottles
And when I went to go eat the pizza, it was very cold and disgusting ;-;
So I just ate some apple slices and peanuts

So after eating, we went into 3 groups and did team building stuff
First we just introduced ourselves and stated what we liked doing
Then we played 2 truths and 1 lie
Then after that I think we just talked
So after the team building
We went into our sections and went around the building to find a spot to practice
There were like 6 of us including me
3 of us knew how to play piccolo(including me)
But I had no piccolo because my parents were waiting to see what I get put on(tbh I really want to play piccolo but I think I'll manage if I get put on flute)
And my flute twin just played her flute
So my cousin was the only one that played piccolo
We tuned to A natural because apparently there's this saying that tuning to A natural on the flute is the best or something like that
So our songs are I am the Doctor, Cantina band, and Star Trek Finale
We just worked on I am the Doctor
We also briefly went through the fight song
And I kind of forgot how to spell the school animal(btw I had a huge headache at the time)
And so I was like
B!-R!-O!-*murmurs* I forgot how to spell........
Gooooooooo broncossssssssssssssss
And so after sectionals, went into the band room and practiced as a whole on I am the Doctor and the fight song
So while we were playing I am the Doctor
The band director made the flutes play two at a time alone
And when I got to me
I messed up so badly at a two measure part
Like I knew how to play it
I just tried to tounge it differently after one set of triplets and it ended up throwing me off
So yeah
It was somewhat embarrassing
But I did well after a few tries because I gave up on trying to tounge it differently

So after playing
The band director did a Q&A
And after the Q&A we left
Well I left with my cousin because she was my ride

And so when I finally arrived at my cousin's house
My dad literally came like one minute after I got in
And so when I left with my dad, we went to McDonald's to buy a strawberry smoothie
It was yummy
And I went home, drank the smoothie, ate something, took a bath, and took mah nap, and when I woke up here I am typing this.

So yeah
That's all
It was super fun ^^
