The Mermaids Extinction

Somewhere deep down

Seas and oceans are mysterious as everyone knows, full of strange and weird creatures, but down there, far from everybody's eyes is the world of mermans.

A world ruled by the antique laws of great gods, Poseidon, the great god of the seas, made Triton, to rule the waters and populate it, he build the civilization of mermans. Half man, half fish, they live and rule the seven seas and all the oceans.

Mermans had great lifes, they ruled the waters for decades, until they decided to go on the shore, where the sun could shine on their ivory skin and mostly, because of the womens.

Alpheus, the braver from them all, swimmed once to the surface and saw a creature that made him feel weird, his strong heart started to beat faster, he wanted to go away but he couldn't, he was mesmerised by her beauty, by her blue eyes like the ocean, by her long legs that she moved slowly in the water while she was singing.
Alpheus never heard something like this before, the only sounds from the oceans came from whales, but this was way more beautiful.

He couldn't help himself and he went closer to her, he was kind of afraid, afraid that maybe she will reject him, that maybe he will scare her and he will not be able to see her again, but in the moment that she saw him she stopped singing, she remained still staring at him, but then she smiled, the most beautiful smile that Alpheus ever saw.

She wasn't like the other girls from her land, she knew that down in the waters mistyc creatures lived because her father was a fisherman and he told her stories about mans with tales, she was so curious about them but she never saw one...until now.

The two of them falled in love instantly, in all the history of Oceania, the ocean kingdom, never heard about a love story of a merman and a human, but they changed the perspective, and they was the first couple of their kind.

Mermans from all over started to come on land, some in human form and other as mermans if the women dosent show any form of fear, and they start having long relationships that gave birth to a new species that mermans donsent know nothing about.

Mostly of the pregnant women gave birth to little girls, others whom carried boys have lost the baby during the 7th month, which was a mysterious event that no one could explain.
The girls was all healthy and mermans was all proud of their lives and families, some of them never came back to Oceania, get married and received an immortal soul.

Time passed and Oceania started to loose people, just a few mermans left to take care of it, but now the girls from the mixed family's have grown up and started to realise that something is special at them.

Everybody was shocked when they saw that at the age of 17, girls transformed into mermaids, half fish half women.

Mermans saw their behaviour, mermaids was cruel, vicious and mostly dangerous, they had the voice, the voice that brings death to anyone can hear it, they had that hunger for human flesh.

Unexplainable but true, right in front of their eyes every man that heard them was devorated in few seconds.
Mermans started to worry about human kind, they dosent know anything about mermaids since pirates killed them all, long, long time ago, before mermans were created, Ezili, goddess of the sweet water, beauty and love, made mermaids, sweet but deadly, compared to mermans witch were more peaceful and their diet was based on fish, sharks and sea weed, mermaids had the urge for human flesh and blood, this thing was datorated to the fact that Elizi was once in love with a human, they were crazy in love and she wanted to gave him a beautiful son, half god half human, but her lover one day broke his promises and falled in love with a mortal from his kind, Elizi was heart broken and killed them both, since that day she hated human kind and made her daughters a deadly trap that no man can survive.
But as dangerous, they were as beautiful and expensive. All the pirates was hunting them for their scales and precious gems that they were on jewelleries. Many of them found death in their hands but many otherside got extremely rich. All mermaids finally disappeared and mermans took control over the waters, no one knowing that someone was there before, excepting Poseidon and Triton.

Now when all those mermaids are born again, they went back in the deep, they knew exactly where they belong, it was in their DNA, and now a new era of massacres was about to begin.

No merman from land could do anything, they were not able to go back to Oceania to warn the others about them, and also they couldn't kill their own daughters, just a few tried but mermaids were really strong and also their mothers were on their side, the wiser ones teach the young girls everything they knew about mermaids and now they were stronger than ever.

All mermans could just sit and beg Poseidon to save their world.
