I went by the lake Jake was talking about then sat on the edge so I could think. First of, I didn't know why I even came with them but something is pushing me to come. I feel like there was something I need to know. Baymax was deactivated the whole time; I feel we might need him sooner or later.
The moon was bright and its reflection on the lake was relaxing just by looking at it. I closed my eyes to feel the cool breeze.
I don't know if it was just my imagination or I'm really hearing a beautiful hum from somebody or something. A mermaid perhaps, I heard they have beautiful voices and Jack once told me that they exist so maybe it could be.
I stood up to follow where the beautiful voice was coming from till I saw a familiar figure. It was Iya on her Water Guardian form sitting on a rock but had her back on me. I felt a smile curl up on my cheek.
She gasped, she must've felt my presence, "Who's there?" she said.
She jumped on the lake, I guess she got scared.
"Don't be scared, it's just me." I said with my back turned. I didn't really want her to see me and I didn't wanna look at her because I just realized she was wearing nothing and the only thing concealing her body was her blue long hair.
"Oh, you startled me." she sighed with relief. "What are you still doing up, Mr. Hamada?"
"I couldn't sleep. You can just call me by my first name." I answered as I sat on the edge, looking down on the water. I saw something sparkling on the waters.
"What are–" I took a scoop of water using my hands with the sparkly things. Diamonds, blue diamonds?
"These are just like what Ms. Savina was holding earlier." I chuckled.
"Those are nothing." she said with a little laugh.
"What do you mean nothing? So this was her secret, huh? She gets her richness from this lake of blue diamonds." I laugh. Don't get me wrong, I don't plan on taking them, I just find it fascinating.
"Those are my tears," she laughed a bit.
"What? Tears?" I frowned of confusion.
I assume she realized what she just said to me and I guess I wasn't supposed to know that because she covered her mouth.
"U-um... Forget what I said!" she said.
"Your tears turn into blue diamonds? Wait more importantly– You were crying? Why?" I asked as I walked near to her.
She stood up, wearing her blue Guardian dress.
"Yes, that's a secret you just found out," she chuckled.
"Why were you crying?" I asked again.
"Well... nothing. Is it wrong to cry?" she turned her back on me again.
"No," I said with a chuckle.
She wore the necklace again to turn into her human form then sat next to me, also her clothes changed.
"You know, you're acting strange," I laughed.
"How strange actually? Well, it won't matter because I get that a lot," she said.
"Like how you're crying for no reason?" I teased.
She flushed a bit, "Fine, I was crying because my dog died!" she yelled.
"You don't even have a dog."
"How can you tell? I just met you earlier today." she frowned.
"Just tell me what's wrong. I've been noticing your actions since we came here." I'm kind of getting impatient.
"Why are you so interested in knowing why!? Are you my father or something? You're acting weird!" I guess she also got impatient with me.
I sighed, "I don't know. I guess, I got worried about you?"
Her expression changed from annoyed to flattered, she chuckled, "Nobody ever said that to me. I mean, I never had anybody worrying about me."
"What about Jake?" I asked.
"That's different, he does worry about me but he never says he is." she said.
"Well, now you have one." I patted her back.
"Yeah, thanks." she sighed, "If you really want to know, I was collecting diamonds for Ms. Savina because she asked me to,"
"Eh? Isn't that kind of taking advantage?" I asked.
"I guess you could say that but I don't really mind." She chuckled.
"How do you make yourself cry?" I asked because I got curious.
"By pinching myself," she said and we both laughed.
I looked down on the lake, the moons reflection was bright and beautiful specially with the blue diamonds adding sparkles then I looked at her, I always thought this girl beside me was cute but I never realized that she wasn't only cute, she was beautiful.
"Iya... You know I–"
She sighed, "Do you remember yesterday when I called you when we were at the bridge?"
Oh yeah, I remember she did call me. That never crossed my mind at all until now. "Yeah. What about it?" I asked.
"I was supposed to tell you something but Ms. Savina stopped me." she said as she looked up at the sky.
"What was it that you wanted to tell me?" I asked.
She looked at me then smiled, "I guess this is the right time, Ms. Savina didn't stop me."
"What was it?" I'm kind of getting impatient but I didn't want her to notice.
"Tadashi Hamada is alive."
