CHAPTER IV: SECRETS

(Iya's P.O.V)

Jack couldn't believe what he just heard; I could feel his mind got full of confusion.

"No way... That can't be." he clenched his fists. "Why wasn't that in my memory!?" he yelled.

"That's classified information, Jack. That's all I could tell you." I looked down. I couldn't tell him more, my master told me not to even though I really want to.

"Please, I have to know more." Jack begged. I feel bad for the guy.

"I'm sorry..." I apologized then sighed.

I noticed Résh was staring at me the whole time, I wonder why?

"Where is Jack's twin, then?" said Clark.

"He's with me back in Ms. Savina's mansion. He's a Fire Guardian," I answered.

"What's his name?" asked Lyra.

"Jake Overland."

"The opposite of Jack, huh." said Clark.

"Yeah, I wonder how he became the Fire Guardian?" said Lyra.

"That's interesting; I guess this quest of ours got more exciting than ever." Titus said excitedly.

"The question is who'd win in a battle?" said Hiro.

"I would, of course!" Jack laughed.

I watched how they talked happily. I missed being like that with Jake; I haven't seen him in days because I was waiting for Résh Caelum's arrival. I made a silent chuckle.

My mood suddenly changed when I remembered something, when my eye caught Hiro Hamada. I remembered something, another secret which I don't know if my master would allow me to tell yet. His brother Tadashi was also alive.

I also have a secret, myself; I'm in love with Hiro Hamada. I could still remember how it all started but that doesn't matter now, I have to set aside my feelings for him because we have a lot to worry about and also, he might not like me in return since he just met me and all. This was another reason why I wanted to tell him that Tadashi's still alive.

"Hamada..." I mumbled.

He glanced at me, "Yes?" I didn't really want him to hear me.

I hesitated, "Um... Listen, I– oh!" I gasped in shock because of a voice in my head that keeps on repeating the same words just now.

NOT YET!

A scream burst on my head. My brain felt painful that made me touch it, too painful that I fell on my knees.

"What the...!" Hiro ran to me then touched my shoulders.

I could hear them all but my hearing was unclear, NOT YET, MY DEAR... said my master's voice in my head that made me squeal.

"Iya, what's happening!?" said Lyra.

The pain finally disappeared then I fell on the ground. Hiro helped me sit up and he supported my back for balance, I felt like something sucked all the energy from me.

"Are you alright?" said Résh worriedly as she crouched down.

"I'm sorry, I just... Urgh. Nevermind..." I said as I touch my head.

"What happened?" asked Clark.

"It was nothing, I'm fine now." I said as I stood up.

"Are you sure?" asked Hiro unsurely.

"Yes." I answered stiffly.

"So, are we still going to Ms. Savina's mansion?" I asked with a smile after I regained my strength.
