CHAPTER XX: THE MOON'S POWERS

(Jack's P.O.V)

I never expected to face a three headed fire breathing monster like this, along with Elsa and Lyra.

"What can we do?" Lyra asked worriedly.

"We need to think of a plan to kill that monster." said Elsa.

"Like cutting off one of his heads," I said but I wasn't sure about that.

"I'm on it!" said Lyra as she jumped high to reach for the monster's head.

"Lyra, wait!" yelled Elsa but Lyra was already high up.

It roared in pain when she managed to cut off one of its head.

"Did it weaken?" I asked, frowning with confusion.

"No, look!" Elsa pointed at the monster's head was used to be and it somehow grew again but this time, two came out. Now we're facing a four headed monster this time.

I face palmed, "Oh great." I sighed.

"That'd be so cool if it wasn't gonna kill us." said Lyra.

"What do we do?" Elsa asked.

I really don't know how to answer her question; I couldn't believe we're stuck like this.

The four headed monster blew out fire from its mouth towards us, I grabbed both Elsa and Lyra then flew up to dodge that attack.

Elsa blasted large icicles towards the monster but it's fire breath made it useless.

"My power is useless." said Elsa.

"Wait! I have an idea," said Lyra.

We both looked at her, "What is it?"

"You two need to freeze the monster," she said.

"Like what Elsa said, our ice powers are useless against that monster's fire." I said.

"Then combine your powers and give it your all, for the sake of Résh and the others." said Lyra.

Elsa hesitated, "But what if it tries to break the ice?"

"I'll slice the frozen monster in half before it could do anything now go!" Lyra ordered.

"We need you to distract the monster while we're getting ready, it'll take a lot of time for us to absorb all our powers." I said.

"Got it." said Lyra before facing the monster again. I looked at Elsa, "Are you ready?"

She looked down, "But what if we fail?"

I made her face me then I cuffed her face, "We won't, trust me Elsa."

"Hurry!" yelled Lyra while attacking the monster with her sword, I could see she's already wounded and bleeding.

I held both her hands, we focused on absorbing all our energy. I asked for the Man in the Moon to give us more power. I felt the breeze grew colder and colder, we were both surrounded by icy blue light with snowflakes, the walls got filled with frost. I closed my eyes.

We aimed our joined hands towards the monster, "Lyra, get out of there!" Elsa yelled.

Ice blasted from our hands and it aimed at the monster, freezing it's whole body into a giant ball of ice.

"Now, Lyra,"

Lyra jumped then winged her sword then sliced the ball of ice in half, a giant explosion appeared then Lyra flew from it but I caught her before she reached the ground.
