'Knock, knock'
Ally jumped and took off her headphones. That must be Stevie! With a weird feeling Ally went and opened the door. There she was. Looking gorgeous as always.
'Thanks', Stevie said, nervously giggling.
Ouch! Did Ally just say that out loud? Fuck. Ally could kick her own butt right now. She invited Stevie in and closed the door behind her. She got really close to Stevie and could smell her scent. Flowers and a tiny bit of fresh grass. Her heart dropped because she remembered the times where she could bare her nose in Stevie's hair and could get as much as she wanted of that smell. These times are over and Ally should really stop thinking about it! Ally shook her head and walked Stevie to the kitchen.
'Do you want something? A drink or a snack?' That came out harsher than Ally expected it to.
'Eh.. No thanks.' Stevie answered. They both stood there in awkward silence, looking up to each other and quickly down to the ground again when their eyes met. Ally thought about how to escape that awkward scene but she couldn't think of something to say. It was like someone wiped all her thoughts away, like chalk from a blackboard. Hera saved them both from the situation. She came running into the kitchen and jumped in Stevie's arms. Stevie tumbled backwards, laughing and hugging the little girl.
'Hey beautiful', she said with a soft voice and for some reason it gave Ally a heartache. While Hera had Stevie's attention Ally took the chance to let her eyes do what they wanted: look at Stevie. Stevie did not look good. She looked perfect. She lost a little bit of weight since Ally saw her last but she was still healthy looking. It just made her legs look even longer. She dressed them into black skinny jeans today and combined them with a simple white shirt and a bomber jacket. Ally noticed that she dyed her hair just like Ally did a while back. Stevie had a blonde ombré now. Ally didn't really know what to think of the fact that her ex-girlfriend is rocking the same hairstyle as she did. Brrrr... Ex-girlfriend. Such a cruel term. Ally felt bad even thinking it.
'Watcha looking at?' A playful voice interrupted Ally's thinking. 'N-Nothing', she answered way too fast and her cheeks became red while she was quickly facing the ground. She heart the music that what Stevie's laughter but refused to look up again.
'C'mon, let's go play, Hera princess', Stevie said and they left the kitchen. Ally could hear Heras cute laughter about Stevie's nickname for her and then they were gone. Ally let her breath go - she didn't even realize that she was holding it - and sunk down on a chair, like a balloon which had a hole somewhere and lost air. Her heart was slowly recovering from the fast beating it did when Stevie was around. She felt like she just ran 15 miles.
This is gonna be a FUN day, Ally thought to herself and sighted.
