ZYNAH
"Well, I'm gonna go now. Tomorrow's lesson will start at 10 okay?" Nazrudin told me as he wrapped his scarf around his neck.
We were at the front of the house, outside from the door and snow puffs were coming out from our mouth as we breathed in and out. Nazrudin smiled at me and patted my shoulder. "You should get in Zynah, you haven't recovered fully yet"
His voice was soothing and it made me almost fainted on how kind his voice was. Shaking the thought off from my mind, I shook my head. No haraam thoughts Zynah! Don't let puberty took over you! This is a test from Allah, a test!
After having a small chat with Zhafir and also some punches here and there (obviously a kind one, not the abusive ones. Even thought I've been abused, I know the difference sheesh), Nazrudin finally left after giving a kind smile and small wave to me and I, of course, waved back.
When Nazrudin's car finally drove off, Zhafir and I went back inside to the house, it was around 9 pm and I was tired from the new education I had learned. With these, I can finally communicate with people, well with the people who knows sign language.
I gave out a yawn after I drank a warm water and stretched out my small arms up into the air. There was a pop when I did it and it was satisfyingly pleasant for me. My ribcages has been healed and doesn't hurt a lot anymore and my bruises are slowly fading, though it will leave a scar.
"Tired?" Zhafir asked as he leaned on the counter of the kitchen. I nodded at him as I covered my mouth from yawning again.
"I'll be going...sleep" I signed. It was not perfect yet and I don't really know most of the words yet so after a few hard tries of trying to sign, I gave up and point upstairs which is where my bedroom is designated at.
I started walked to my bedroom when Zhafir nodded and I was immediately plopped onto my bed. I didn't even bother to put away my praying mat and my praying clothes from my bed as I just stared at it blankly.
My mind was blank and I was thinking back of what the event has happened earlier today. I turned around so that my back will be on the mattress and I was facing up on the ceiling.
The ceiling was my favourite, because all of the spaces, no white spots nor any out of place, were painted in blue night sky. Stars were everywhere and I was amazed by each of the details Nazrudin had drawn.
"If there is one thing that you only love with all of your life, what is it?" Nazrudin asked.
I thought about it for along time and then pulled his sleeve as we walked to the open window. I pointed my finger to the sky, while staring at Nazrudin.
