NAZRUDIN
"That guy seems dangerous Naz, you should be careful from now on" Jeffrey said as we stared at the road where the unknown man had walked on.
"I hope so too..." I said quietly, looking down at Zynah who was visibly shaking not from the cold but instead from fear, tugging into the hem of my shirt tightly.
Something about him was off, he was more of like an insane kind of person. And from how Zynah had reacted from him calling out to her, it's conspicuous that both of them knew each other but not in a friendly way.
"Zynah, you're okay?" I asked as I crouched down to be on eye-level with her. She was adverting her gaze from me now and then and I saw down tears threatening to get out from her eyes. She was scared. Spread of him.
Seeming that I got a silent treatment and Zynah's hold on my shirt became more tightening, I sighed and turned to Jeffrey who was talking something on his phone.
"Mind if I have your phone number?" He asked, showing me his phone that shows some contact list. "You're not so bad of guy and seemed to be fun to hang out with"
I nodded at him and gave my phone to him so that he'll save his number in it. I couldn't take my gaze away from the vulnerable person beside me, I was worried about her.
I've never seen her this shaken up before after the nurse injecting her blood. All I know is that that guy is a trouble and I seriously need Farukh to help out with that.
"And there you go. If you need help for something, just hit me up okay?" Jeffrey said, handing the phone back to me.
"Sure man, give my salaam to this friend of yours. I'll be leaving now"
As we both shake hands in goodbye, we both parted ways. Zynah was awfully quiet than usual, and her head was hung low all the time we were walking towards my car.
Opening the door for her, I waited for Zynah to climbed in and closed the door softly. I stood outside for a while, staring down at her worriedly. There were a tugging feeling on my chest and it felt like something bad will happened in the near future.
At Zynah.
Knowing that she had been abused from young, I had to protect her no matter what the cost is. Sure Zhafir is there with her but it's not like he'll be with her 24/7. I'm not the one to talk but I'm serious about asking her hand in marriage. I have to ask her parents for permission first, but firstly I have to ask mine first. Especially dad, I need to tell him that I will not marry Diyanah at all.
Confident about this, I went inside into he driver seat and wasted no time to drive it. Not forgetting the prayers of course.
I've decided to put the radio's volume on low that the song was just humming quietly. My eyes kept on adverting from the road to look at Zynah but it was inevitable that I would stopped worrying over her.
The silence goes on and on until we reached Zynah's house. The maids were waiting for her as Chris greeted me.
"Keep her safe, there were some incident happened earlier" I said quietly to Chris, my eyes never leaving the girl I couldn't stop thinking of who was walking inside with the maids.
Chris widened his eyes at my statement, suprised. "What do you mean?"
I shook my head, also confuse by the new unknown guy. "I really don't know what had happened, but there's someone who knew Zynah and he's kind of a bad news. Zynah looked terrified earlier so I probably think he's someone she had known when she was living at the fake's house. Anyways, I really have to go, just keep her safe will you?"
