Chapter 31

“Okay everyone,” said the announcer after everyone was done giving their speeches about how much they love and adore the newly weds and stuff.

“Can I please invite all of you, who have come with some special to the dance floor for a dance?”

Mia and Niall had their eyes on each other since yesterday when Niall asked Mia to be her date. They were in love.

They played an amazing music. I recognized the song. It was ‘First Dance’ by Justin Bieber.

It was awkward for Harry and I as we were the only one left on the table. Rest everyone was dancing.

“Um, care to join me for a dance?” Harry asked.

“Uh, it’s not really my type.” I replied.

I could see Harry was disappointed. I did not want to disappoint him.

“Uh, forget it. Let’s dance.” I said.

“Okay.” He sounded very happy, I was glad about that.

We went to the dance floor. Every couple present was just looking into each other’s eye. I saw Danielle and Liam looking at each other with love, Perrie and Mr. Malik’s eyes were locked, Mia rested her head on Niall’s shoulder and was dancing.

I held Harry’s hand and we looked into each other’s eye.

My heart started beating faster than ever. I started getting Goosebumps, all of a sudden. I had never felt like this before. Harry looked more handsome than ever in the tuxedo. His eyes twinkled. How long had I been passing on at that? The whole world around me came to still. For the time I could only see Harry. I know it sounds cheesy, but this is what was actually happening.

Next song they played was : ‘Dance With Me’ by Shane Harper.

“I love this song,” Harry whispered in my ears as we were dancing. I could feel his breath on my cheeks. I didn’t care if I hid the blush below my eyes or not.

“Me too,” I replied. I genuinely liked that song.

“Sarah,”

“Yeah,”

“You look stunning today.”

“Thanks Harry. You look amazing too.”

“Thank you.”

For the next 15 minutes, Harry and I made an eye contact. Seeing his deep blue eyes is all I remember. After that, I came closer to him and rested my head on his shoulder.

“Look,” he said.

I turned around and saw Mia and Niall heading out doors.

“Young love,” I replied with a smile.

“Niall has a crush on Mia since the first time he saw her,”

“I knew it.” I was smiling. I was happy for them. Finally, Niall got the girl of his dreams. Someone he liked. Someone who was not HollyFlack, I guess that was something I was most happy about. 

We started heading towards the buffet. Harry said, “Niall called me the day you guys went to meet her. He told me that a very pretty girl had come in the neighborhood, he only talked about her for the rest of one hour.”

“He kept on telling me what all they talked about, Mia-Mia-Mia that was all I heard. I did not tell him to stop. First love, it is.”

“Who is your first love, Harry?” I asked him after we had taken our food and were sitting on the table.

“Someone special,” he replied with a smile.

“I’ll not ask if you don’t want me to tell. By the way, does she know about it?”

“I don’t think so.”

“I bet she is beautiful.”

“Yes, she is the most beautiful girl in the world.”

I felt jealous of that girl.

“Who is your first love Sarah?” Harry asked.

“Um, I don’t think I’ve ever ‘loved’ someone.”

“Oh. You never had a boyfriend?”

“Never, Niall used to be my company for school parties. I am such a loner.”

“At least you had a date. No girl even looked at me before the summer breaks.”

“That is because they were sick and missed out on the most amazing person.” I meant what I said.

Harry was the only person except Niall who made me feel worth of my existence. Followed by mom and dad, of course. Not Louis, okay maybe- seldom it was.

“Thank you,” he replied.

“I enjoyed the dance with you today.” I said.

“Me too.”

Niall and Mia joined us later, all of us had dinner and then four of us took a cab and headed home.
