It was midnight when John, Mr. Brown's right hand received a call from the hospital. He rushed towards the hospital and asked the receptionist about Mr. Brown's room number.
John looked at the doctor with high hopes. "when can I see him?"
"I would request you to call his family" said the doctor
Mr. Brown had an heart attack.
When Kate was informed about her fathers death it was like a nightmare for her. Tears of sorrow ran down her delicate eyes. She was broken but she knew the world would have its eyes on her now because they would expect her to take control of Brown Hi-tech Pvt Ltd.
Mr. Brown was all she had in the name of family. She was shattered. But she knew she had to get up and be prepared for what's coming and try to take control. Her father had made her responsible.
This is what she was taught since childhood. 'RESPONSIBILITIES OVER WISHES.'
Kate was in the office the following day. John had resigned from Brown Hi-tech Pvt.Ltd. Mr. Brown had taken a loan for 200 million dollars from banks for the development of a software and after the sad news of Mr. Browns demise, the banks had very little faith on a new comer like Kate.
Kate was informed about the bank manager waiting for a meeting. She decided to meet them. The bank manager Mr.Andrew thought he was talking to an ameture. He didn't realise he was making a mistake.
"Miss. Brown we are extremely sorry about Mr. Brown's demise, but we all know business knows no emotions. We are very sorry but we will have to call our loans off as the bank is not ready to bear the risk of a new comer handling the company"
"I understand your concern, but I would really appreciate it Mr.Andrew if you understand our situation right now and try to support us. I assure you your money is put to good use" said Kate
"I understand your situation miss Kate but I am very sorry the loan will have to be called off " said Mr. Andrew.
Kate said,"Sure Mr.Andrew it's your call"
Along with the manager was the bank's financial and legal advisor Mr. William Smith. After the meeting he gave his card to Rose and asked her to tell Kate to call him.
Kate called Mr. Smith and spoke to him.
"Hi, this is Kate."
"Hello Kate I wanted to speak to you about your loan can we meet for lunch tomorrow morning?"
"Sure what time?" Said Kate
"12:30 at Per Se."
"Sure see you."
