"What did I say to you about five minutes ago?" I said, giving her the ' I give up on you' face.

"Would you have responded to me if I called your name?" giving me the ' I give up on you' face.

I hate it how humans can copy facial expressions.

I leant against my locker and waited for her to talk.

She took a deep breath. "I know we had a deal but I am the school's journalist and my leader has just assigned me to interview you about school life since you are like the most popular boy around here so do you think we can meet after school at 'The Pot' we can drink coffee at the same time."

I blinked. How did she even pass english when she was not taught punctuation.

No, no, NEVER.

I opened my mouth to say those few words.

"OH, HE WILL LOVE TO."

I spun around and saw Janelle grinning like she had just struck lottery.

Corvene saw this chance and told me to meet her after school in front of my car as hers is under repair. She then ran away before I had a chance to say anything. I was ready to run down to the    kitchen to grab a knife and stab Janelle but even she ran away too.

The perks of having a girl as a best friend huh.

*******

I stood outside my car and waited for Corvene to arrive. I couldn't do anything to stop her from coming anyway. Imagine how she would feel when I suddenly disagree to do the interview. This is called I'm left with no choice.

Shaking my head, I tried to look at the bright side of things. 'The Pot' is an awesome place if you get a good seat on the upstairs balcony. You can still see what's happening on the Main Street, and sometimes, you get to laugh at some crazy people who walk there. One time, me and Reina saw a guy in a mini skirt. I think we laughed until we were rolling around on the floor.

"Hey!" I turned around to see Corvene running towards me. She walked around to the passenger's seat and climbed in. I wearily opened the door and took my place in the driver's seat.

I turned on the engine and atarted to drive. Out of school. The street outside school. The turn before Main Street.

Then I realized something. I did not talk to Corvene for the past half hour. "So..." I began. How can you not talk to somebody in your car? I know we made a deal, but seriously, this is courtesy.

"Where do you live?"

"Baker Street. You can see this gigantic house from my bedroom window and it's so outstanding. Every time I open the curtains, I see it. Let me tell you, whoever owns that house is loaded with a capital d."

I blanked out for a second. Then I turned around and faced her.

"That's my house."

The honking of cars started and I quickly turned back and stepped on the pedal. The car jerked foward and we hit Main Street.

"You live like five minutes away from where I live!" I shouted, shocked.

I think Corvene had a heart attack from shock too because she did not reply me despite the fact that I was shouting the words 'how can that be! I thought no one from school lived near me!' over and over again.

I was lucky enough to find a parking spot right outside 'The Pot' and soon we snagged our balcony spot upstairs.

However, I was still repeating those words. Not shouting now, but loud enough for Corvene to hear. That lost her cool.
