Slash followed the patrol back to their camp. " Oceanstar, we found Echosong and Hollow Fur's littermate near our border," the white tom mewed. " Thank you Cloudmist," Oceanstar meowed. Oceanstar turned to face Slash. " I would like to talk to you," she meowed. Slash followed her to the leader's den. " You must be starving. Why don't you have a vole?" Oceanstar meowed, nodding towards the fresh kill pile. Slash picked up a vole and padded back into the leader's den.
" Slash, I believe we have a lot to talk about," Oceanstar meowed. " I have a few questions," Slash nodded for Oceanstar to continue. " Why did you leave Fireclan in the first place?" Oceanstar asked. " I wanted to become a kittypet, since I thought life would be easier that way.But on the way to find a Twoleg I bumped into Violet, who wanted me to become a Stoneclan cat," Slash muttered. " Alright," Oceanstar meowed. " If you're supposed to be in Stoneclan, why are you here, so far away from the Twoleg place?"
" Well there wasn't anything to do one day so I decided to see where the forest cats had gone to live. When I couldn't find it, I tried to go back to the Twoleg place but got lost instead."
" Ok. Now do you want to rejoin Fireclan?"
" Maybe,"
