Dear You,

It's been 4 months since our break up. You're still with her. It's been a while, but I can finally talk to you. There's a class trip for our geography class. We have to go to that national park that we always talked about back when we were together. You promised that you would take me there sometime. I guess this is you trying to fulfill your promise.. Sort of. I've been taking art classes to try to distract myself from you. It's working. Art takes me to a whole other world. A world without you. Who knew that was such a pleasant feeling. You used to make me feel so empty. You used to be the reason why I dreaded the day, but now, everything is lighting up. I know what to do now. Every single day, is getting a little brighter. I can finally see myself moving on. Moving on to the next chapter of my life. A clean slate. I haven't been this happy in a long time. Although, I know that even if you broke my heart into a million pieces, that I'd pick them all up, and put them back in your hands. I would do that in a heartbeat, but the reality is that you'd drop them all over again. Reality bites.
