people slowly started arriving at the church, hyojin and austin greeting family and friends at the doors. austin had a rather pokerish face in the midst of shaking hands, biting at his lip in hopes he'd see roman.
haley quietly makes her way through the doors with her son ryan, along with roman. roman grins quietly, not so much shaking the killer's hand, but holding it gently for a few seconds, lightly brushing the boy's thumb against his. he smiles a bit, going to sit with his family.
"hey, dad?" roman's son, ryan, was around 16, kinda lanky and tall. "can i go check on sophia..?"
"yeah, sure, go ahead."
ryan quietly made his way out of the church, walking to the steps and sitting beside the girl. "hey."
sophia looks up slightly, smiling a bit. "hiya, cunt."
the boy quietly drapes his arm around the smaller being beside him, her head making its way to his shoulder.
"i really wanted to see the body." she groans, her hand making its way into ryan's.
"me too, me too.." the boy's cheeks warmed slightly, a crooked smile making way to his chapped lips.
meanwhile, calvin had sat beside his not-so-secret boyfriend, face dull, expressionless even. unbeknownst to anyone besides niall, calvin was genuinely affected by his father's death. it'd have to be him, austin, or hyojin that invested in the family business.
and knowing money-hungry hyojin, she was going to try to take it, even if anyone else wanted to take it, no questions even asked.
the woman was invested way too much in herself, and too much in haley.
she barely even paid attention to her own daughter, and to sophia, was the main reason she had a mental breakdown as a child.
niall quietly muttered something to himself, before pulling the older boy into a soft, chaste kiss. calvin's expression brightened slightly as he kissed back, gently cupping his hands on the paintbrush's cheeks.
"i love you," he whispers, "so fucking much."
