"Y'know, this is just how I wanted to start my summer vacation," I joked. " I mean, here I am in meridian taking down bad guys." "What more could a girl asked for?"
I was just with my friends trying to keep this weirdo creatures away from a dead guy! And so far, I wasn't doing very good. You see, my friends and I are guardians. And we each have an element. And I'm the queen of liquid. But I keep getting left to dry.
Flying wasn't my strong suit either. Renée and Fiona had to help me twice from being upside down. And when I said I was left to dry, I mean just that.
I couldn't get enough water out. Every time I try, I just shoot out like a water gun. Try as I might, my water was just refusing to burst out. It was really irritating.
Tired of being in the air, I managed to wiggle my way down to the ground next to Mira. "I'm not doing so hot up there. I can't get enough water." I told the elderly woman.
"It's going to take a while for you girls to control your powers due to fact your powers come from the stars." Mira explained. "All you need to do is accept the new role in your life and you should be fine."
Accept my new role huh? I thought. How am I suppose to do that? Until just a few hours ago, I was so looking forward to the summer. Now I'm in the guardian business! I mean the outfits are pretty cool don't get me wrong. And the new powers were pretty awesome too. But I just hope that it won't get in the way of my summer vacation.
One of Giselle's goons tried to attack Mira. I tried to aim my powers at him but I missed. Darn it! Not again! Mira was able to protect herself by using some of her own magic. But that didn't keep them coming back for more.
This time I stepped in. I was determined to protect her, and the castle. As one of the dog like creatures charged forward, I gathered all my might and thought only about doing what's right. And just as soon as the creature came closer, I blasted 'em with my water power.
It was an overflowing waterfall pouring out of my hands. I couldn't believe it. I actually did it! I could feel the power! If only I had a sword and a big giant green shield to top it off.
It was great to finally tap into the power. But my overconfidence was short lived. A hoard of dog misfits and bird mutants just kept coming! It looked like there was no end to them. Then suddenly, a gust of wind and a bunch of rocks started flying through the air.
"We thought you guys could use a little more help." Angel and Tiffany came swooping down giving us a hand with creatures. And not only did they came, Elyon came out as well. And she didn't look too happy.
"I WANT YOU GONE, NOW!" Elyon shouted. And I thought I was a loud mouth. Elyon takes the cake. And it seemed that the shout of the Queen worked. Well it worked right after she threw a mega hissy fit and destroyed part of her garden with her mega cannon fingers.
We were saved! Giselle's storm cloud and her band of misfit animal creatures retreated. All of Elyon's people cheered for her and for us too! So being a guardian does have it's perks. But I would never want to get on Elyon's bad side.
Afterwards, Mira and Yan Lin helped restored the garden. Phobos's grave was still buried deep within as Tiffany told us. She and Renée went to put Elyon back to bed while the others and I try to help more in the castle.
"So who got dibs on the damage costs," I joked. "No one. I got this." Angel said. Miss sorceress mumbled a few words that sounded like Latin and boom! The castle's grand throne room was good as new. Now if she could do that for my room everyday, we would be best friends for all eternity.
