Jail For You: The "Truth"

Joshua's POV:

I looked at Colleen and wait for her to finish. She sat down on the bed and look at me.

"Joshua I love you a lot and I've been trying to protect you and our family." She said crying. "This doesn't explain anything." I said annoyed sitting down next to her. "Wait I'm getting there." She said annoyed.

She set her laptop to the side as she grabbed my hand and held it tightly.

"I've just been getting a lot of hate and it's really going to my head and people are saying they wish you weren't alive and that you suck at everything you do." She said wiping away some tears.

"It's effecting you that much?" I asked her. She nodded.

"I just don't want you to leave baby, you are my rock." She said putting her head on my shoulder. I felt bad, I've been ignoring her while she has been feeling bad for me.

"Why did you keep saying you wanted to protect me?" I asked her still a little confused.

"Because those comments are harsh and you can be sensitive. I want you to know that anything they say isn't true at all." She said quietly.

I still doesn't explain everything. I'm finding it very hard to believe her.

"Colleen?" I asked seriously. "Joshua?" She said mocking me.

I let go of her hand as she looked at me.

"I'm telling you this now Colleen, until you tell me truth Colleen I'm not going to be happy." I said whisper yelling.

She looked at me trying to find a answer.

"I am telling the truth." She said whisper yelling back. We stared at each other for a minute.

"Look me in the eyes and tell me that you are telling the truth." She looked right into me, into my soul almost. Her eyes scrunched as she got mad and she crossed her arms.

"I'm telling you the truth."
