"Ms. Ramirez, do you know the answer?" Camila's math teacher asked her expectantly.

"Uh...I uhh," She stumbled upon her words. Of course she was expected to know the answer since she'd always raise her hand, but today was not that day. Today she dropped her glasses and someone stepped on them. Purposely? Probably.

"Aw, does Ms. Know It All not know the answer?" Camila heard from the back of the room where Hanna snickered. Camila shrunk in her seat feeling herself burst with embarrassment.

"She can't see, dumbass," Her best friend Ashton blurted.

"Maybe she should wear her glasses," Hanna suggested. She knew Camila couldn't wear them. She was the one who stepped on them.

"Maybe she could if you didn't step on them," He said before rolling his eyes.

My teacher sighed, "Thank you for your concern, Hanna and Ashton." He then mumbled, "Why did I decide to teach high school?" He looked up at the clock and a look of relief washed over his face. The rest of the class glanced at the clock and immediately began packing up.

Ashton got up and sat on top of Camila's desk.

"How's the weather down there?" He giggled.

"The same as the weather up there," She smirked up at him. Again, he rolled his eyes but this time at Camila.

"You're so funny," He sarcastically remarked. She flipped her hair with a grin.

"Ashton I-" She was cut off by the excruciating bell. She rolled her eyes knowing it'd take her forever to gain the courage again to say what she's been contemplating.

"Hold that thought, Cam," He mumbled as he quickly hugged Camila before rushing out the door to his next class.

She rushed to her locker exchanging her math book for an almost empty bag of gummy bears. She ate the rest of the candy on her way to the locker room. The locker room was already full with girls and Camila had to push her way between half naked bodies to reach her locker. Her closest girl friend, Savannah was already fully changed and ready to go by the time Camila reached her locker.

"You're done already?" Camils sighed.

"I already had my gym shorts under my jeans," She shrugged. Camila hurried to change and made it just in time before the bell that signified class starting rung. Savannah grabbed Camila's arm and ran to our gym teacher who appeared extremely happy. Yes, how fun it must be to torture teenagers.

The gym teacher blew his whistle and the class gathered around him.

"Today you guys will be running two miles," Mr. Hayward announced. "Do it in under 18 minutes for an automatic A." The class groaned in response causing Mr. Hayward to roll his eyes. The class approached the track where a timer had been placed.

"Ready in 1..2..3 go!" The teacher announced before starting the timer.

Camila and Savannah started off with a slow jog because Savannah claimed it was a good way to balance their energy.

*10 minutes later*

"I...can't...breathe," Camila gasped for air in between words while Savannah was doing just fine.

"We only have three more laps to do, you'll be fine," Savannah attempted to reassure her.

Camila stopped in the middle of the track with her hands on knees, panting. She was never the athletic type like Savannah was, she only did well in an actual classroom. But Savannah hadn't noticed that Camila was way behind until she turned to talk to her and realized she wasn't there. Savannah looked back and her eyes set on Camila before giving her that look moms give when they're disappointed in you. Savannah motioned for her to hurry up and she did, after Camila gave her a glare in exchange.!

Camila eventually reached Savannah and she literally pulled her along with her as she ran just so she'd have a running buddy. About 6 minutes later they finished their two miles. Camila was sitting on the ground, either about to throw up or die.

"We would've finished it a lot quicker if we ran the rest of the time!" Savannah said.

"Sorry, I'm not a fan of running," Camila shrugged.

"I could have told you that," She giggled as she got up from her spot next to Camila. She held her hand out for Savannah to help her up which she reluctantly did.

Later on that day, Ashton was at Camila's house sitting next to her on the rough carpet of her room.

"What were you going to tell me earlier?" He questioned. An uneasy feeling began to burn in her stomach. She was scared Ashton was going to laugh at her.

"Um..." She started, only to trail off.
