"Okay, so just because he went upstairs doesn't mean that he doesn't want you. Each she wild has a different scent. Where one smells like vanilla another could smell like coconut. It's always different. Not if your mate smelt something that mom bakes all the time-" I cut him off.

"Your mom bakes a lot? Oh right, not the time."

He continues. "Then he could have thought mom was baking. He doesn't like the thought of not finding his mate and like I said he's a little rocky."

"How old is he?" Alex asks.

"Eighteen." He answers.

At the moment Alex is fifteen and I'm sixteen. My birthday happen wile I was in that coma. Yeah sad I know but whatever. Things happen.

Alex will be sixteen in another week. That means her and her mate are like, two or three years apart depending on when he turned eighteen.

"What are you think of?"Alex asks.

"Our next rampage." I admit. Hayden knows nothing about our prank rampages but he'll find out soon enough.

"Now, what are we gunna do about the mate thing? We have to get his attention." Hayden says and I just roll my eyes.

"Which rooms his?" I asks.

"Second door down the hall to the left." He replies and I march out of the room with Alex's hand in mine.

I knock on the door and Alex gives me a hopeful look. I let go of her hand and she hides behind me.

His door opens and honestly Trey is cute, but not has cute as Hayden is. He looks kinda layer back in my opinion but I know what can happen if you don't find you mate. My brother is living proof of that.

"Hi, I'm Carter." I smile.

"Isn't Carter a boy name?" He asks looking me up and down.

"Yep it is. I'm your brothers mate." I tell him and he nods.

Hayden comes up beside me and Trey turns his attention to him. I turn around to see that Alex is no longer behind me.

Where did she go.

"Excuse me." I smile and then run down the hall back to Hayden's room where I see Alex sitting on the bed.

"He didn't notice me Car, what's wrong with me?" She cries.

"Awe honey, like Hayden said, to him you could smell like something his mom makes. Besides if you didn't hide behind me, he would have seen you." I half chuckle.

I hear a door slam down the hall and I can only guess who's. Great, he angered the beast.

"Let's go and see what happened." I say and she nods.

We walk down the hall to see Hayden still standing there. Looking more confused then ever. I roll my eyes.

Once again I knock on the door and Trey swings it open with a sour face. There's the Trey I was told about.

"Listen here, I do not need you mocking me because-" I cut him off and point to Alex.

"This is Alex. Play nice Trey, tread carefully." I half growl.

He looks at her and his whole demeaned changes. His eyes change from almost black to his green eyes. He looks more relaxed.

"How can this be possible?" He mumbles to himself.

I make a mental note to ask about that later.

"What's that? Thank you Carter? Oh well it was my pleasure." I mock and walk away leaving the newly mates to talk and figure things out. Geez, this is already stressful.

I grab Hayden's hand and guid him back to the room.

"So, what was his big explosion all about?" I question.

"He said that last year, he watched his mate die." He says and my whole body freezes.

No ones suppose to know about that...
