Chapter 25- Missed You

A week later.

It has been a long week since Kory went in to his coma. Both of our bodies have been healing properly. Since I was staying here my doctor came by checking up on me and cleared me for cardio exercises. So I start going to the gym that was down the street. I need to get out that god awful hospital.

I left the gym and walked back to the hospital. I went up to his room, the others were in there telling him about their day and how much the missed him. I walked in further to see him still laying in the same spot. His color came back but he was still pale.

 I went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. 

I put on my clothes then exited the bathroom. It is hard to do everything with one hand.

"We are going to get going; call us if he wakes up." Jessie said and they left.

I sat in the chair next to his bed and looked at him as I caressed his face gently.

"Hey babe. How are you today? Don't worry about how you look. To me you are still as sexy even in this state. Come back to me so I can tell you that." I spoke hoping he would reply.

I kissed his lips softly and laid my head down on his bed and went to sleep.

I woke up with the sun shining in my face, I looked at Kory. He was still sleeping, of course he was. I got up and went to the bathroom. I came out to see sandy checking his charts. I left the room and went to the cafeteria to get something to eat. I paid I went up to his room and ate.

And that's how another week passed. Kory bruises were healing nicely but his ribs were still pretty damaged. Skylar was in the room talking to Kory she skipped school today so she could have a moment with him, just her and him. So I left her to do that. My arm was good enough to lift 10 pounds but nothing more. They didn't want to risk me getting any type of complication.

Ten minutes later of nonstop lifting my cellphone rung. It was a text from Skylar:

My heart started to beat rapidly.

I got up and bolted out the gym and to the hospital. I took the stairs instead of the elevator. I ran through and busted through the door. The first person I seen was Skylar holding her mouth with tears falling. I went further in to the room and see Kory's doctor and his dad. They were all looking in my direction most likely because I busted inside all of the sudden.

My heart start beating even faster. Please don't say he somehow died while I was gone. 

I hesitated but continued to walk. 

I looked over and seen the most beautiful sight ever. Kory was looking at me with a soft smile on his face.

I stared at him. 

Am I dreaming right now? 

Am I still sitting in that chair waiting for a moment like this? 

All of this seemed too good to be true?

"Jeremiah." His soft hoarse voice spoke.
