Chapter 8- Okay Then

It has been a week and a half since Jeremiah kissed me or even talked to me.

He has been avoiding me since the date and it sucks.

He sees me in the hall he doesn't speak and he stop stealing my food. Right now its lunch time and again he is avoiding me.

"Kory stop stressing over it just forget him and honestly I told you so." Nate said.

I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Do it again and I will cut it off." I put my tongue back in my mouth and covered my mouth with my hands and I gave Nate the evil eyes.

"Want a lollipop."

My eyes lit up I nodded and he gave me a lollipop of course it was cherry. I took the wrapper off and stuck it in my mouth, they all laughed at me.

"What? Y'all know I like lollipops it's my crack."

"You look like a five year old." Sky laughed

Then stopped and her face went blank as well as the rest of them. They were looking at something behind me see this is usually the part when there is a serial killer behind me, and when I turn around and get my head chopped off. I slowly turned around to see not a killer but Jeremiah I turned back around and licked my lollipop. Sky looked down to me and I rolled my eyes.

"Can we talk?" Jeremiah asked from behind me.

I sighed deeply and thought about it then got up.

"Sure, bye guys." I said and gave him my tray to dump.

I walked out as he followed after he dumped my tray, he pulled me into an abandoned class room so I sat on top of a desk.

"I'm sorry about what happened and avoiding you." He said

"Mhm. That's all?" I answered dryly eating my lollipop.

I finished it then tossed it in to a trash bin nearby. Jeremiah sighed then stepped in between my legs and kissed again. The taste of strawberries took over my mouth okay you know how in all movies the person in love always felt sparks or something so cliché right. I really felt those cliché thing, this kiss wasn't like the first one it was more passionate.

The bell rung interrupting us, he looked me directly in the eyes then smiled he gave me another quick peck. We left the classroom and headed to our last classes.

  The next day I put on a white shirt and red skinny jeans and went to school happy. I walked into homeroom and smiled at Jeremiah he smirked back I took my seat. I took out my IPod and put the earphones in. I started listening to Call Me Maybe yes I like the song. The class passed it was boring like always.

When it ended I gave Jeremiah my number and headed to gym he stayed back to ask the teacher so I went ahead. I walked in to the locker room I put on my purple basketball shorts and a black t-shirt with Black Jordan's. Today we played basketball it was fun me and Jeremiah were on opposite teams. What who says gay boys can't play sports? I scored at least three 3-pointers the other times I tried someone stopped me sometimes it was Jeremiah. The coach blew the whistle meaning game over the score was 20 to 23 they won by a lucky 3-pointer, I walked over to Jeremiah.

"Good game." I said smiling

"Yeah...thanks" He said quickly and walked to the locker room in a hurry. Wait a minute what the hell did he just -sigh- what the hell. One day you apologize for avoiding me then the next you don't want to be seen talking to me. I walked in the locker room and headed to the showers in the way back. No one comes back here. I took a quick shower I grabbed a towel and quickly dried off I put on a pair of clean boxers yes I had two pairs, I put on all my clothes.

The bell rung I stayed behind to fix my hair and reapply my eyeliner. Everyone left already most of them don't take showers or at least freshen up. EW STINKY BALLS. A pair of hands came over my eyes I elbowed whoever it was in the stomach the hands moved.

"Ouch." Jeremiah grunted.

"Sorry, you shouldn't sneak up on me especially in an empty locker room rapist and killers do that." I stated.

"Noted." He said then pulled me in for a short sweet kiss, I smiled.

"Go ahead to lunch I got to get my stuff." He said then gave me a peck.

Maybe I was over reacting earlier. I thought as I grabbed my gym bag and I left. Gosh I love his sweet kisses. I walked to my locker and stuffed my gym bag inside than headed to my car we are eating outside of school today it is great to be in high school, We headed to the Waffle House. When we got there and the waitress came we all order I order a blueberry waffle, scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage and cheese grits with and orange juice. No breakfast is better than this to me yummy.

"So how are things with Jeremiah?" Sky asked.

"Good and how was last night?" I said.

"Hehe amaaazing." Sky said and Kat blushed.

"It was great I seen a different side of him." Jesse said causing Chrissy smacked him in the back of the head with a bright blush on his face

"Ouch." Jessie whined rubbing his head.

"I don't want to hear about your sex lives." Nate said, we laughed.

"Don't be mad you not getting none." Jessie said, we laughed harder.

"Well actually I met this girl her name is Miranda." Nate said, we all stopped laughing and stared at him look Nate doesn't date much he is all work no play. I mean really he is always studying or at the gym.

"OMG MY BABY IS ALL GROWN UP!" I yelled hugging Nate "Wait that means some girl is taking my Nate baby away."

"Does she go to our school?" Sky asked rolling her eyes at me while I hugged Nate tighter.

"Yes." He replied with a shy smile "She is really beautiful. She wants to meet you all, so can you all meet her today after school?"

"Well of course I'm going to meet the girl taking my Nate baby away." I said.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world." Sky and Chrissy said insync.

"Okay football field after school." Nate said.

"You got it now let's get to school before we get in trouble." Jessie said

  We agreed and paid then went back to school. I actually did my work this time in my last two classes. The bell rung I headed to my locker and put my stuff up I took out my gym bag they need washing. I headed to the football field the football team was out there including Jeremiah. We made eye contact so I waved at him but he didn't wave back okay? Whatever not here for you anyways and flipped my fake hair. I walked toward everyone I guess they were waiting on me, I seen this pretty young lady standing there hm.

"So you're the girl taking my Nate baby away?" I asked.

"Ah yea I guess so I'm Miranda, you must be Kory nice to meet you." Miranda said.

I looked at her up and down.

"Well you're pretty so I can hand him over but hurt him and I WILL CUT YOU." I stated.

"Yep she is, good going Nate." Sky said.

"Well I got practice come on Jess." Nate said and they ran to the other jocks. We all talked for a while then we left Chrissy and Miranda stayed because they men were playing.

"You're not going to wait for him?" Chrissy asked me.

"Nah I'm hungry." I said and left the field with Sky and Kat I got in my car and I drove to sonic I pushed the red button and order a Chile cheese dog with coleslaw and a blue coconut slushy. I ate and sang loud to random songs. I drove home and sat on my couch and watched The Regular Show. Jeremiah sent me a random text....Okay then.
