This is about how someone gets over moving from somewhere you consider your home.
I understand now
I will never be able to replace you
I don't want to
The memories that are now carved in stone will stay there
Sometimes I will carry that burden, sometimes I'll leave it behind somewhere I know I can find it
*
I will miss your streets and your lights, your life
Good and bad
I will remember it all and try to keep it from time's tricky hands as best as I can
*
This new place I am in will be the temporary home for my new mistakes and laughs
I understand this now
And so I will try to take it as such
All the good and bad
I will still miss my true home, but in the future when I am in this place no longer I will miss this place and call it home as well
With all my lively chanting and peaceful silence
I understand this now.
