I didn't really know where this one fit in, and since it's a bit of a personal story, I decided it would be the first under stories! So enjoy: The Truth About Hollywood.
WHERE I'M GETTING MY INFO
One of my best friends is a Hollywood actor, no joke! He has his own pages and everything! I would tell you who exactly he is, but then you could probably stalk me and track me down quite easily. On top of that a few teachers at my school are/were buddies with or knew or went to school with actors that are insanely famous today. So this information is pretty legit.
WHY I'M DOING THIS
So I've noticed that on wattpad there are quite a few stories about Hollywood actors and to me they don't seem realistic at all. I think people should know the truth about all of this. Not all of them live totally lavish lives and they are FAR from the perfection that everyone seems to think they are.
DATING IN HOLLYWOOD
My best friend's boyfriend (he also happens to be one of my best friends) is the Hollywood actor I first mentioned. Yeah, he buys her some nice things, but just because he's an actor doesn't mean he's a romantic. Actually, he's quite the opposite. He's been coming to me as his "dating coach" for help on how to be more romantic!
One of my teachers went to high school with an actor (again, if I tell you what actor, you'll probably track me down), and didn't really see him other than a couple of times (big school). But he did know that the actor had a girlfriend and had given her a white Porsche. But he grew up acting and had tons of money. Unfortunately, this actor came out as gay.
The same teacher was friends with another actor whose dad was even a pretty big actor. But this actor, as attractive as he was, just totally turned girls off. He never went on more than a first or second date with someone because they just could not stand him. They all thought he was a total dork. This kind of leads into the next topic.
HOLLYWOOD PERSONALITIES
So again, I'll start with my friend since I know the most about him. He's...different. All the teachers hate him, he's over the top, and just bizarre. Plus he has a problem with wanting to take his shirt off all the time. He's nice, though. He just doesn't have many friends because they don't want to put up with his...personality.
Now my teacher who told us about the actor who gave his girlfriend a white Porsche in high school (and later came out as gay) also told us more about this guy. My teacher was working in a card shop and when the actor came in (before he had come out as gay) my teacher was expecting him to ask about baseball cards or something similar. Did he ask for them? No. He asked for cards for some girly little game. My teacher was shocked. It was kind of like that episode of iCarly my sister showed me where the bad boy turns out to collect Beanie Babies. After that, my teacher had no interest in thinking that that actor was cool at all.
The actor this teacher was friends with was (other than being a dork) always trying to one-up everybody. The example the teacher gave was that if you climbed a mountain, he had to tell you about the time he climbed two mountains, both taller than the ones you climbed. He wasn't too close with this guy because he just couldn't stand him, but they ran around in the same group of friends, so he couldn't avoid it too much.
All the other teachers I have that have friends in Hollywood never got into as much detail as this one teacher, but they all mentioned that each of their friends had at least one major problem like these. The majority of them even said that their friends had to go to all kinds of therapists and psychiatrists and psychologists to try to figure out these problems.
SUMMARY
-I am getting my information first-hand, so it's all as real as it's going to get.
-I think the Hollywood-based stories on this website could use to be a little bit more realistic.
-Dating in Hollywood is FAR from perfect.
-Everyone in Hollywood has at least one major flaw. Usually more.
-There's nothing wrong with being friends with Hollywood actors as long as you're willing to put up with their more interesting moments (and not just because you want to get something out of the friendship or even dating relationship).
I would LOVE it SO MUCH if you would comment and share ideas for more parts!
