Chapter 2

The group finally arrived at Aphmau's place. The living room and kitchen were already decorated, with pink, purple, and blue streamers and balloons everywhere. "This is beautiful, Aphmau!" Garroth praised looking around. Laurence and Travis nodded in agreement, and Zane murmured something incoherent.

"Thanks, guys! I'm glad you like it!" She replied, beaming. "Well? Let's get this party started!" Katelyn said, grinning, and turned on the music. The group chattered and danced and ate, until Garroth noticed Laurence slip away outside.

He followed the brown-haired boy to Aphmau's pool, and watched as he slipped off his shirt and jeans. His smooth skin stretched across his lean muscles, moonlight highlighting his features. Garroth's breath caught in his throat, and Laurence dived in, disappearing into the almost-black water with a small splash. Garroth slowly approached the water, watching for Laurence to resurface.

When the boy finally did, his blue eyes looked around distractedly until they finally got caught on Garroth's shimmering blue eyes. Garroth blushed slightly in embarrassment, praying that the night masked his burning cheeks. "W-what's up?" He finally managed, tearing his eyes away and looking down.
