I was sitting on the school's rooftop admiring the silence when someone behind me asked "Can I sit here?". I look up to see a very cute boy. Ha has blonde hair and blue eyes. He wore bracelets on both of his arms. I gotta say, I like his taste in fashion. He looked kinda familiar though. Have I seen him before? C'mon, Maiko. Think.

And then realization hit me like a ton of bricks.

'Oh. My. God. OMG! It's Kou Mukami! The Kou Mukami! Oh wow, he's even more hotter in person'. I fangirled in my head. I tried my best not to squeal from the spot.

"Umm... Sure".

"Really? Thanks Neko-Chan!". Kou said as he sat beside me. Correction: too close beside me. I blushed. Thank god my face is covered with my hair.

"The moon is beautiful tonight, isn't it?".

"Yes, it is". My pink eyes accidentally caught eye contact with him. His blue orbs are mesmerizing. They were just like the ones I used to had.

[Flashback] 3rd person POV
"You are a very bad girl, Maiko. Meddling with someone else's business. You should be punished... Painfully". The man Maiko called 'Father' pulled out a knife out of his pocket.

"Please don't. I p-promise I won't do it again!". Young Maiko stepped back in fear as the father approach her slowly with a sadistic smile on his face. He backed her up on the wall. There's no chances of escaping her Father's wrath.

The man harshly lifted his daughter's chin. "Such beautiful eyes you had, Maiko". He lightly stroked the knife on the surface of her cheek. Maiko didn't dare move. "They are as blue as the summer sky. Too bad you're not going to use them again".

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!". Maiko shrieked in immense pain while her Father laughed psychotically as he gouge both of her daughter's eyes out. Blood was flowing down from where her blue orbs was supposed to be.

Her vision was taken away from her.

2 years later, after the triplets killed their own father, Cecilia gave her a pair of magical pink prosthesis eyes that can read a person's heart to replace the ones she lost.

[End Flashback]

"Are you okay, Maiko?". Kou asked looking at me with concern. I didn't notice I was crying.

"I'm okay I'm fine... How did you know my name?!".

"I heard some girls talking about you".

"Oh". I thought he was a mind reader. Gosh, I'm getting paranoid about this boy.

My eyes widened. Kou's right eye glowed red. Could it be he had the same ability as me?

His left eye stopped glowing. "You're lying". I froze. I don't want to talk about it right now. I think he got the message.

Then the unexpected thing happened. He hugged me. He actually hugged me. I mentally pinched myself.

"If you ever need me I'm right here". Kou said softly.

Tears formed on her pink eyes. Did I did something wrong?

"Are you okay, Maiko?".

"I'm okay I'm fine... How did you know my name?!".

My right eye glowed red. I can tell she's lying.

"I heard some girls talking about you".

"Oh".

"You're lying". She froze. Maybe it's a touchy subject and she don't want to talk about it.

I don't know why but I suddenly hugged her. "If you ever need me I'm right here". I said to her softly while stroking her brown locks. We stayed like that until it's time for us to go to class.
