Part 13

.Juliet's Pov.

-Saturday morning-

I sat in Nate's jeep while he went to go get the next cassette tape. I know I know. It's not the best thing to do rn, but I need to find out why she left. Every night I couldn't sleep because of all the questions that were stuck in my brain. It just stunk how she wasn't here, so see me grow up. Or see how ugly and mean my father got over the years. "Here ya go!" I smiled looking at Nate "thanks Nate, what would I ever do without you." I grabbed his chin kissing him. I could feel him smiling as he kissed my neck. I then heard the car turn on and I suddenly opened the packet. I pulled out the cassette tape along with a picture. It was a picture of her in a car, I remembered it too. It was her dark blue Land Rover that made her look like she wanted to go on an adventure. I smiled as a tear rolled down my face. Nate then grabbed my hand "let's find out what this tape says." I nodded and took a deep breath opening up the window to feel the cool air on my face

1 hour later...

I woke up to Nate opening my side of the car with him saying "rise and shine." I laughed and took his hand jumping down. We walked up the millions of stairs leading to the library and when we finally got in, he went into the room with the cassette tape and sat down on a couch. I took deep breaths as Nate put in the tape. "Wait." He turned around "are you sure you want to do this?" I paused for a moment and then nodded "yeah"
Nate then pressed play and sat by me on the couch putting his arm around me.
CASSETTE TAPE ROLLING:

"Juliet. What I'm about to tell you may not make sense. But your dad, Michel. Is not to be trusted. Juliet or whoever when you get this message, contact the police. I'm in the back garage where I'll be able to make this quick video for you. Juliet, I love you very much, stay away from your father." I heard a door slam open while a loud familiar voice came closer to the camera saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" My mother screams.

The video ended.
