Angelique Kerber is a German tennis player who was born on January 18, 1988. Kerber has 9 career singles titles to date, one of them being a grand slam. She upset Serena Williams in the Australian Open this year, but went on to lose to her in Wimbledon 5-7, 3-6.
She made three Premier finals, losing to Li Na, Petra Kvitova, and Simona Halep respectively. She has earned over 12 million dollars in prize money in her career, marking her as the 27th most on the all-time list. She's only won 45 percent ( 93-114 ) of her matches against the top 10 in her career.
Kerber has a bright future as a multiple grand slam champion, and is seen as a major contender at every other major tournament for as long as she stays within the top 30.
